A teen with a taste for pop music has a chance encounter with her favorite singer and experiences a Hollywood adventure beyond compare in this upbeat teen musical for the entire family. For Sara Olson (Maggie Castle), pop star Christopher Wilde (Sterling Knight) is the best thing to happen to music since the microphone. But her younger sister Jessica (Danielle Campbell) doesn't want anything to do with her older sibling's obsession. When the two sisters venture out to LA to visit their grandmother, Sara leads Jessica on a frantic race around town in hopes that they will catch a glimpse of the popular singer. Much to her surprise, they're soon standing face to face with Christopher, and being treated to a guided tour of the city, pop star-style. Later, when Christopher gets the opportunity to cross over into movies, he grows worried that his fame may be having an adverse effect on his personality. Perhaps a friend like Sara is all Christopher needs to help put his glamorous life in perspective, and make the career choices that best reflect his own personal values. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Two luckless stoners begin a truly awful evening when they discover they have a dead girlfriend on their hands in this black comedy from writer and director Allen Moyle. Dexter (Scott Speedman) and Royce (Wes Bentley) are a pair of half-bright slackers living in a nowhere town in Northern Ontario. Dexter and Royce's lack of ambition is compounded by the fact they're both heroin addicts, and they support their habits by dealing dope for Omar (Raoul Bhaneja), a ruthless dealer who's not to be trifled with. Matilda (Taryn Manning), Royce's girlfriend, makes the mistake of dipping into their product one night and suffers a serious O.D.; frightened, Royce and Dexter decide they have to get rid of the body, and Dexter suggests they bury her in the boiler room of a drive-in movie theater where he used to work. The guys take Matilda's body to the drive-in and are about to cover her up when they realize she isn't dead yet; however, their timing is flawed, as this discovery coincides with the arrival of a gaggle of would-be Satan Worshipers, who are looking for a likely candidate for their first human sacrifice. An elaborate fantasy tale intended for family audiences, Babel tells the story of the Babels, a strange breed of four-foot-tall creatures who once coexisted happily with human beings on planet Earth. However, when the humans built a huge tower to taunt God, he became angry and drove the Babels underground, while scattering the humans to the corners of the Earth and giving them different languages to keep them separate. Thousands of years later, three Babels are searching underground for the Babel Stone presented to them by God when they lose the map -- which is soon snapped up by a dog, who presents it to his master, an advertising man named Patrick. The Babels are desperate to recover the map, and they recruit Patrick's son David to help them find it (and the Babel Stone) before the evil Nemrod can steal the stone and claim its powers.
