Facts is a dramatization of a massacre in a Lithuanian village during World War II when Nazis rounded up over 100 men, women, and children accused of partisan activity and then torched the houses in which they were held. Ironically titled "Saint Hope," this strange, downbeat drama about a prison camp in a fictitious South American country offers no hope at all. The prison is somewhere in the middle of a desert, and it is likely that the inmates are there for political reasons. Life is dreary and goes by slowly in spite of a few attempts at escape. When the action does heat up a little, the story gets more interesting though even that promise is short-lived. Whatever his intentions, Chilean director Sebastian Alarcon is definitely not encouraging tourism to the southern half of the Americas. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, All Movie Guide

When a dashing young hero discovers an old treasure map, he sets out on the high seas to seek out the booty in Russian director Yevgeny Fridman's adaptation of Robert L. Stevenson's timeless adventure novel. After Jim discovers the tattered map that's rumored to reveal the whereabouts of legendary pirate Captain Flint's secret treasure, he quickly gathers a group of friends and hits the open water.
