Better known in many quarters by her initial stage name -- "Scary Spice" -- British diva Melanie Brown enjoyed a successful career as one of the singer/dancers in the late-'90s all-female Europop group the Spice Girls. She parlayed her celebrity into acting work as one of the leads in Spice World (1998), and then -- in the mid-2000s -- performed in stage productions of The Vagina Monologues and Rent. In 2007, Brown competed as one of the "celebrity dancers" (opposite dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy) on the fifth season of the popular ABC reality series Dancing with the Stars; the pair earned some of the season's highest scores and ended up coming in second place. Two female friends invent a stranger named "Vincent" in order to win back one of the girl's ex-boyfriends, only to find their ploy for jealousy entangled with a plot for murder after one of them is accused of actual homicide. When Faith and Eve invented Vincent, their plan was to use the imaginary hunk as a means of driving Faith's jealous ex-boyfriend straight back into her arms. Determined to free a lab full of animals from a grim fate in the confines of a scientific experimentation facility, a group of young animal rights activists unwittingly releases a malevolent evil in director Simon De Selva's horror-flavored thriller. When an alarm is tripped mid-mission and the animal liberators make a hasty retreat, they are alarmed to find that one of the activists was left behind in the chaos. In the days that follow, the remaining members of the group all receive a mysterious e-mail with the subject header "Lethal Dose" and a map of a vivisection lab.
