A high-tech cell phone gives a mischievous high school senior the power to influence the actions of others in director Rolfe Kanefsky's throwback sex comedy. On the eve of his high school graduation, Walter Burkell receives a most remarkable gift: a top of the line cell phone with a Guidance Navigational Expert affectionately dubbed "the GeNiE." As Walter begins to experiment with his new toy, he quickly discovers that female voice on the device has a strangely hypnotic affect on innocent bystanders. It's not long before Walter realizes that the strange frequency emitted by "the GeNiE" allows him to assume complete control over the actions of others. Of course what better place to start than by experimenting on your parents, your pushy older brother, and said sibling's sizzling hot college girlfriend. But small time games are only amusing for innocent kicks, and before long Walter is ready to share his new phone with the house-full of reality-show starlets who have just moved in next door to shoot a sexy series called "The Playpen." ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

In this low-budget horror comedy, Jeff Fahey plays Captain Winston, a policeman investigating the illicit doings of a local mortician named Fred (Robert Donovan). Fred, it seems, has been experimenting with a chemical formula that brings dead bodies back to life. His latest version of the serum is successful, but there's a catch -- his revived corpses only stay alive for an hour at a time. But when a banker threatens to foreclose on his funeral parlor, the mortician is able to mobilize an army of the undead to do his bidding and get revenge. The mortician is soon using his charges to settle scores against a number of people he doesn't like, but when his assistant finds out, he realizes the mortician must be stopped. Corpses also stars Robert Donavan and Tiffany Shepis. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

No one would have guessed that Mrs. Albright, the seemingly sweet, elderly proprietor of a New England boarding home, was actually a demon hiding beneath a facade of stitched-on human skin. Her mission, capturing boarders and imprisoning their souls within a book of paper dolls, seems impossible to stop. Stitches is directed by Neal Stevens, who co-wrote the screenplay for 2001's Thirteen Ghosts, and features Elizabeth Ince, Debra Mayer, and Lindy Bryant. ~ Tracie Cooper, All Movie Guide

Surrender Cinema is Full Moon Entertainment's outlet for unrated sexploitation films, which somehow makes it different from the same company's old Torchlight label, although it's not quite obvious how. This naughty little number -- part of a veritable market flood by Surrender -- is a skin-saturated variation on the Sleeping Beauty legend, dealing with three young women who are imprisoned by a gypsy in a castle belonging to Lord Isherwood (Robert Donovan). He became engaged to all three, but the gypsy wants him and his wealth for herself, so she casts a sleep spell on the women after they all have sex with Isherwood at once and kill him with "kindness." A hundred years go by, and the action shifts to the present, where a young couple, Chip and Judy (Jon-Damon Charles, Michelle Hall), visit the castle with Judy's brother, Eddie, and friend, Francine. Judy and Eddie are Isherwoods, and both dreamed of the castle before inheriting it. When they arrive, both are tormented by visions and have a great deal of sex, before Eddie wakes the beauties and the gang somehow finds time to reclaim the castle for the Isherwood siblings. Director Sam Silver appeared as an actor in 1995's Bikini Drive-In, which also featured this film's frequently naked gypsy, Nikki Fritz. ~ Robert Firsching, All Movie Guide

The film opens with long flashbacks to the dreadful original: crazy Suzanne Oliver (Shauna O'Bryan) has sex in a shower with a man, then breaks his neck with her bare hands and murders a secretary, framing her roommate Debra (Landon Hall) for her crimes because Debra led on her lesbian sister until she committed suicide 15 years before. As the sequel gets underway, Suzanne is trying to get released from a mental facility, so she has to agree with her insane psychiatrist, Dr. Sterling (Robert Donavan), to reunite with Debra. Debra has lots of nightmares and flashbacks and rejects the idea, while Suzanne has her own flashback to her experiences in a women's prison, where there is a gratuitous and implausible catfight between several women and a new prisoner. Later, Debra gives in and agrees to meet Suzanne after learning that Suzanne had been stalking her for longer than she had suspected and sleeping with several of her men. Eventually, the crazed Sterling has sex with Suzanne over a desk and on the floor, stabs Debra's brother, and kidnaps Debra for some forced therapy with his new lover. Screenwriter Sean O'Bannon also penned the original Escort, as well as The Masseuse 2, The Masseuse 3, Maximum Revenge, and Fugitive Rage. ~ Robert Firsching, All Movie Guide
