What was to be a simple flight from L.A. to Paris turns deadly when a genetically engineered zombie virus breaks out within the cabin of a fateful 747 jumbo jet in Flight of the Living Dead. Unbeknownst to the passengers and crew, a CIA scientist has stowed away a package on the flight that will endanger the lives of everyone onboard. As the plane makes its way through some heavy storm clouds, the package is jostled and a secret government zombie experiment is unleashed on the plane, infecting everything in its wake. Soon, every living being on the jet is fighting for their lives as the ravenous, gut-munching monsters give them little places to hide aboard this dreaded flight. ~ Jeremy Wheeler, All Movie Guide

Teenagers stand up for their rights and take on the woman who wants to scuttle their freedoms in this comedy drama inspired by a true story. Principal Weller (Julie Bowen) is the ambitious but hard-headed leader of Booker High School. Weller plans to run for superintendent of her school district, and believes if she wants to win she needs to project the image of a no-nonsense leader, and with that in mind she begins cracking down on what she sees as discipline problems at Booker High. However, in many cases what she sees as kids out of control are seen by others as kids expressing themselves, including a girl who wants to distribute condoms to recognize National Safe Sex Day, and two boys who are caught kissing in the hallway between classes. Mr. Drucker (Malik Yoba) is a teacher at Booker who tries to champion the students' rights of free expression, but his conflicts with Principal Weller end up costing him his job when he's fired for questioning her authority. Holden Donovan (Gregory Smith) is a student at Booker who is alarmed that the students have lost one of their few allies, and decides to do something about it -- along with his classmates, he sets out to establish and defend the right of free expression for high-school students, and launches a campaign against Weller's bid to become superintendent. Kids in America also stars Stephanie Sherrin, Nicole Richie, Adam Arkin, George Wendt, and Elizabeth Perkins. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

April Fool's Day brings a combination of the silly and the serious to the ER, with emphasis on the latter. A police officer shoots an elderly patient with dementia, but full blame for the incident may actually rest with two of the ER staffers. Several teenagers are injured while trying to "huff" carpet cleaner. A pregnant teenager treated by Kovac (Goran Visnjic) suffers complications in more ways than one. Corday (Alex Kingston) faces another career crisis. And on the lighter side, Carter (Noah Wyle) tries to brush off Rena (Lourdes Benedicto) by telling a fib that may spell trouble for one of his colleagues. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
Still grappling with his recent psychiatric visits, Dan (Josh Charles) decides he'll skip his next visit with Dr. Abby Jacobs (Jayne Brook), but instead goes to her office and rattles off his day's highlights for the full length of his appointment. Later, back in the studio, he and the rest of the Sports Night crew are bribed by Casey (Peter Krause) -- who uses ethnic food as a bargaining chip -- into staying up to watch a track and field competition in New Zealand. As they watch the event, a nearly washed-up athlete breaks the long-standing long jump record -- only to watch his record fall minutes later by another, previously unknown athlete. Since the championship will be seen during the regular broadcast day tomorrow on tape delay, a decision must be made about whether to pre-empt tomorrow's broadcast with the historic news. Jeremy (Joshua Malina) begins to feel badly about giving porn actress Jenny (Paula Marshall) the cold shoulder, especially now that he thinks he likes her. Caught in a thunderstorm while out and about, Dana (Felicity Huffman) takes refuge in a church -- which eerily coincides with a conversation about attending church that she had with Isaac (Robert Guillaume). ~ Ryan Shriver, All Movie Guide
Greg Davis (Michael Reilly Burke) was 12 years old when his childhood sweetheart Karen Carlson disappeared while en route to his home. 17 years later, Greg, now a schoolteacher, is astonished by the sudden appearance of an enigmatic young woman (Melissa Gilbert) who claims to be the long-missing Karen. The woman's vivid recollections of abduction, and the fact that she knows many of Karen's innermost secrets, convince Greg that she's the genuine article. But Karen's father Warren (Ronny Cox) and detective James Walker (Leon Russom) are not so easily persuaded--and when Karen begins to behave in a bizarre, erratic fashion, the possibility arises that she may not be whom she claims to be...and that her past is far more sinister than anyone could imagine. Alternating between a full-color "present" and black-and-white vignettes of "the past", the made-for-TV Childhood Sweetheart? debuted March 18, 1997, on CBS. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

October 16, 1993, the first part of this episode begins on a somber (if familiar) note when it appears as if Captain Picard is dead. While investigating this presumed tragedy, Riker is kidnapped and spirited away to an outlaw ship that has been looting other planets. His outrage turns to shock and disillusionment when he finds Picard among the mercenaries. While the answer to Picard's behavior is provided during part one of "Gambit," viewers would have to wait until the following week to witness the outcome of the story, which was written by Christopher Hatton and Naren Shankar. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
