Bester (Walter Koenig) doggedly pursues a murderous telepath who killed a friend of his. He takes this opportunity to provide valuable on-the-job training to a pair of rookie Psi Cops. Since the focus is on Bester, virtually none of the Babylon 5 regulars appear, with the exceptions of Jeff Conaway (Zack) and Richard Biggs (Dr. Franklyn). Best moment: the Psi Corps training film, a marvelous piece of ersatz propaganda. First broadcast on April 15, 1998, "The Corps is Mother, The Corps is Father. . ." was written by J. Michael Straczynski. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Belle Bonnet was a notorious but basically well-intentioned female outlaw, who, in the 19th century, stole a wagonload of gold in order to finance a Native American school. Lost in the caverns of the Southwestern desert, Belle's ghost still stands guard over her purloined gold. Psychically beckoning Jonny Quest to the treasure, Belle materializes before a huge subterranean lake -- and that's only the beginning of the "fun". "The Ballad of Belle Bonnet" originally aired on September 19, 1996. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

The Quest team arrives on Easter Island, where they come across the remnants of an ancient alien aircraft. All evidence indicates that the alien occupant was the "missing link" who accelerated the evolutionary process. Enter the team's ubiquitious adversary Jeremiah Surd, who intends to conduct an experiment to reverse evolution throughout all mankind. "The Secret of the MOAI" first aired on September 24, 1996. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

While flying to Northern Siberia to join the rest of the Quest Team, Jessie is forced to make an emergency landing. Exploring the area, she comes across a ancient colony of Russians, living in a subterranean ice fissure -- and, of course, completely unaware that many centuries have passed since their imprisonment. The best scene finds Jessie "improvising" a hot-air balloon. "Ice Will Burn" originally aired on September 26, 1996. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Paying a visit to his grandfather's ranch, Jonny becomes curious about a nearby biodome. Investigating, Jonny and his friend Hadji uncover a scheme hatched by a crooked businessman to build weapons out of uranium. Inside joke: Jonny's granddad is named Doug Wildey -- the same name as the celebrated comic-book artist who developed and nurtured the "classic" Jonny Quest series of the 1960s (the episode was in fact dedicated to the "real" Doug Wildey). "Nuclear Netherworld" originally aired on December 26, 1996. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Al (Ed O'Neill) nearly goes out of his mind when he is unable to identify a song that he heard on the radio and has been humming ever since. In the midst of his strenuous efforts to pinpoint the song's title, Al manages to find time to berate his daughter Kelly's latest boyfriend, Vinnie Verducci (played by a decidedly pre-Friends Matt LeBlanc. We're not about to give away the name of the song, but here's a hint: it was a big hit back in 1962 for r-and-b singer Arthur Alexander--and the title is NOT what everyone thinks it is! ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
