Leo (Brian Krause) is ordered by his fellow Avatars to protect the demon seer Kira (Charisma Carpenter) in order to obtain information necessary to vanquish all other demons. At the same time, the Charmed Ones share Kira's latest vision, leading them to believe that the best of all possible worlds will be one ruled by the Avatars. Meanwhile, Kira's fellow demons release the dreaded, all-powerful Zankou (Oded Fehr, in his first series appearance) to counteract her "treason"; and Paige (Rose McGowan) and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) are diametrically opposed in their feelings toward the "helpful" Brody (Kerr Smith). ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

One of the quintessential family shows of the late '70s, CHiPs featured two handsome California Highway Patrolmen: Jon, the blonde uptight one, and Ponch, the free-wheeling Latin Lover. Prowling the L.A. freeways for wrong doers and the inattentive, the duo rode cool bikes, witnessed many exciting accidents -- often ending in fireballs -- saved lives, solved mysteries and flirted with pretty girls. Off duty, they often did all the things considered hip during that time, including lots of disco-dancing.
Made-especially for the TNT cable network and featuring most of the original cast and crew, this lighthearted action-adventure is set 15 years from where the old show left off. Jon (Larry Wilcox) and Ponch (Erik Estrada) have not been partners for years, but a puzzling series of car thefts reunite them. Part of the fun of the show is watching the two leads -- no longer sporting washboard stomachs, trim waistlines and smooth faces -- as they try to adjust to the innovations of modern police work, including new bikes and wireless radios that keep them in constant contact with their senior officer. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide

Bester (Walter Koenig) doggedly pursues a murderous telepath who killed a friend of his. He takes this opportunity to provide valuable on-the-job training to a pair of rookie Psi Cops. Since the focus is on Bester, virtually none of the Babylon 5 regulars appear, with the exceptions of Jeff Conaway (Zack) and Richard Biggs (Dr. Franklyn). Best moment: the Psi Corps training film, a marvelous piece of ersatz propaganda. First broadcast on April 15, 1998, "The Corps is Mother, The Corps is Father. . ." was written by J. Michael Straczynski. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

This martial arts actioner moves on the premise that the LA riots were the dirty work of the Irish Republican Army. Okay. Sure. The hero in this low-budget outing is British Special Air Service officer Shane who flies out to the LA ghettos to rescue the daughter of the British ambassador who also happens to be his ex-girl friend. A burly FBI agent helps him. Together they deal with rollerblading gangsters, bikers and other LA-style villains, all of whom are working for the IRA. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
