Set in a vast space station orbiting the outer solar system, this IMAX spectacle imagines what life might be like for the first human settlement in space. The community is home to seven-year old Chieko (Rachel Walker) along with her mother (Genevieve Langlois), her father (Denis Akiyama) and her grandfather (Colin Fox), all of whom are experts in their given scientific fields. Though the station is self-sufficient in such necessities as food and air, the water supply is suddenly discovered to be dangerously low. Chieko's dad offers to make the perilous voyage to a local comet to replenish their stocks. He is cruel to his wife, but she will not complain to her father. The beastly carpetbagger ties the stoic woman to a tree and sets the bloodhounds upon her. They tear off her clothes. This causes the girl's father to die of embarrassment. Meanwhile the girl bears a son. The son grows up and goes West in search of his wretched father. He desires to avenge his mother's honor. In this dramatic mystery, an heiress believes that she ran over and killed a man while driving home from a party. Later a stranger appears at her door and tries to blackmail her about the incident. Rather than pay the money and own up to her guilt, the heiress decides to kill herself. This frightens the extortionist into telling her that the man only suffered a few bruises and walked away from the accident. The heiress doesn't believe him and returns to the accident scene where she finds the muddy body of her lawyer. She is nearly unhinged by the discovery, but fortunately, her would-be blackmailer has had a change of heart and begins looking into the situation. In this comedy caper based on a novel by Nathaniel Benchley, a gang of crooks begin exploiting an innocent ex-Navy officer who, wanting to impress his employer's daughter, is sailing a fleet of ramshackle scows. One of the crooks cons the fellow into believing he is a shipwright. The thief then plots to use the vessel for a bank robbery. The hero is then forced to sail the ship himself after he and his girlfriend are captured.
