Known for her waifish figure, Kate Moss ushered in what would come to be known as the era of "heroin chic" with her rise to popularity in the early '90s. Despite the controversy, Moss' stardom grew throughout the decade and into the next, making her one of the profession's highest-paid personalities. Over the years, Moss has also gained status as a tabloid celebrity, weathering controversy over her weight, bouts with drug abuse, and tumultuous relationships, most notably with actor Johnny Depp and rocker Pete Doherty, the latter of whom she became engaged to in 2007. This compendium of material from the BBC sketch comedy program French & Saunders pokes fun at everything from Baywatch and the Batman franchise to Björk and Ingmar Bergman, stopping along the way to mock British tennis players and postcolonial biddies. Most of the material dates from the early to mid-'90s; all of it features future Absolutely Fabulous writer/actress Jennifer Saunders and Vicar of Dibley star Dawn French, who parody pop culture figures (Liam Neeson and Mel Gibson in a faux Braveheart/Rob Roy crossover) and inhabit their usual assortment of original characters. Guest players include supermodel Kate Moss and singer/actress/celebrity wife Patsy Kensit. The title refers to the duo's parody of Madonna's Truth or Dare, which, bowing to that film's British title, is called "In Bed With French & Saunders." Rowan Atkinson returns to the role of royal scoundrel Edmund Blackadder in this hilariously skewered romp through British history. On the eve of the New Millennium, the latest incarnations of Blackadder and his eternal flunkey Baldrick step into a time machine, purportedly based on a design by Leonardo da Vinci. On a dare, the boys agree to check out a few historical high points -- only to become totally lost in time and space, bouncing back and forth (hence the title) from the Jurassic Period, to the era of Robin Hood, to the reign of Queen Elizabeth, back again to 1999, and back again "forward into the past." Several of the regular performers from the previous Black Adder TV series are once again in attendance, including stars Atkinson and Tony Robinson, Miranda Richardson, Hugh Laurie, and Rik Mayall. Katharina Otto directed this documentary exploration of the fashion industry by focusing on four aspiring teen models from four countries (Czech Republic, UK, Germany, U.S.). Each of the four won a local beauty contest and all look forward to their big break. The film examines schools, training, agencies, pressures, and auditions, including one such audition for famed designer Isaac Mizrahi. Additional background on the modeling profession is revealed in interviews with supermodels Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Elle Macpherson, Claudia Schiffer, and veteran Lauren Hutton.
