Hamilton Sterling made his feature directorial debut with this allegorical drama which he wrote, directed, produced, and edited. Kind soul Charles (Jeff Hawke) is a chimney sweep who falls under the corrupting influence of homeless evil figure Nick (George Gerlernter). With an assist from a wealthy man, Nick manages to manipulate events for Charles, who nevertheless loses his soul in the course of his climb to success. Meanwhile, these events are all observed by artist Cecil (James Geralden) who questions non-actors' moral decisions regarding documentary footage shot on the street. Other scenes feature a spoken text excerpted from William Blake.
