Desperate to keep her job as a proposal for her dismissal is making the rounds, Fong (Miriam Yeung) deliberately lies to her new boss Wu (Edison Chan) and tells him that she is pregnant. Having come from a single-parent home, sympathetic Wu rejects the proposal and Fong seems to be in the clear for the time being. Her relief is short lived however, when office gossip soon begins to fuel speculation as to the identity of the father. Soi Cheang's horror film Hunbo Yitsin Chi Dai Tau Gwai Ying (Horror Hotline...Big Head Monster) stars Francis Ng as the producer of a radio program that involves people sharing ghost stories. Ben (Ng) airs a call about a mutant killer baby. Intrigued by the story, he teams up with a reporter (Josie Ho) to investigate. He finds a person involved in the story on the verge of death, while Ben's nurse girlfriend, Helen (Niki Chow), is treating a man who has been attacked by the monster. When an otherwise quiet man takes the law into his own hands, he sets off an unexpected chain of events in this action comedy from Hong Kong. Sung (Patrick Tam) works in a photo processing lab and generally keeps to himself, but when Sung spots a group of notorious gangsters dining in a restaurant one evening, he uncharacteristically decides to do something about the law-breakers, slipping some poison into their food. The gangsters drop dead, and Sung decides he rather likes dishing out justice; after a few similar incidents, Sung's adventures attract the attention of Hak (Jordan Chan), a yellow journalist who paints a picture of Sung as a fearless vigilante. Hak's stories make Sung out to be a much greater threat to Hong Kong's criminal element than he actually is, but the leader of the nation's criminal underworld (Wu Hsing-kuo) doesn't know that, and soon police detective Michael (Sunny Chan) teams up with Hak to find Sung before the crooks can put him six feet under. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

Hong Kong helmer Stanley Kwan directed this study of sexual desire, featuring sexy Chingmy Yau (Naked Killer) in a dual role. Rosa Gao (Yau) loses her ticket at the airport, but a woman who resembles her boards the plane. Gay real-estate salesman Tong (Eric Tsang) puts the make on Fung-wai (Sunny Chan), distraught over the airplane-crash death of his wife Moon (Yau), the other woman seen at the airport. As the tale progresses, five characters of diverse persuasions are caught in sexual cross-currents. Clifford Choi Kai-kwong adapts this popular romantic comedy of errors from the stage to the silver screen. Ma Kam-hang (Francis Ng Chun-yu) is a nebbish owner of a children's book publishing house who had the good fortune to marry the vivacious Ivy (Anita Le Yuen-wah). For their seventh anniversary, Ma plans to take his wife out for a night on the town. He also agrees to let his buddy Henry (Sunny Chan Kam-hung) use their apartment for an illicit liaison. Unfortunately, Ivy promises the same to her friend Linda who also happens to be Henry's wife. Editor and co-writer of the original, David Wu Tai-wai directs this follow-up to the wildly popular romantic fantasy-horror masterwork Bride With White Hair. The last film ended with Cho (Leslie Cheung Kwok-wing), following the defeat of the Wu Tang clan, waiting atop the snowy peak of mount Shing for a rare flower to blossom and heal his ailing lover. Ni-chang (Brigitte Lin Ching-hsia), feeling spurned by Cho thanks to the evil doings of a pair of Siamese twins in the previous movie, has morphed into a demon with a head of white poisonous hair. She creates a cult dedicated to her hatred of men, vowing to kill every member of the Eight Clans of Chung Yuan. Among them is Fung Chun-kit (Sunny Chan Kam-hung), Cho's cousin who is in love with the beautiful Lyre (Joey Maan Yee-man). On their wedding night, Ni-chang, Ling (Christy Chung), and a number of other disciplines crash the party and kidnap the bride.
