T.J. Storm Movies
A long-haired, exotically charged Hollywood performer with a screen presence that frequently projected dark menace,
T.J. Storm built his career as an entertainer on a bedrock of decades-long martial arts expertise. A native Hoosier,
Storm grew up in Hawaii; he subsequently attended the Joanne Barron/ D.W. Brown Acting Academy and trained on the side in a myriad of disciplines including, though not limited to, jujitsu, tae kwan do, arashi-ryu karate, and Northern Shaolin kung fu. Given
Storm's appearance, his rapid ascent to the level of eighth degree blackbelt, and his proficiency in all of the said forms, it was perhaps inevitable for Hollywood to pigeonhole him in action and crime vehicles, though he typically appeared in supporting roles and not leads. Projects included
Breathing Fire (1991),
Corrupt (1999), and
The Ultimate Game (2001), for which he also did the martial arts choreography. In 2001,
Storm hosted the series of exercise videos entitled
Cardio Kung Fu: The Spiritual Workout, and seven years later he played Maginty in director
Lexi Alexander's comic book superhero film
Punisher: War Zone (2008). ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi

Marvel Comics' vigilante character The Punisher gets another big-screen outing in this third film incarnation of the character, this time from Green Street Hooligans director Lexi Alexander. Fueled by revenge and aided by his trusted weapons expert, Microchip (Wayne Knight), vigilante Frank Castle (Rome's Ray Stevenson) turns the New York City streets red with blood as he takes down each and every member of the crime syndicate responsible for the death of his wife and two kids. As the law-appointed "Punisher Task Force" closes in on him, the antihero does battle with Billy Russoti (Dominic West), aka Jigsaw, a nickname given by him to reflect the disfigurement handed to him by Castle. With the help of his psychotic brother, Loony Bin Jim (Doug Hutchison), Jigsaw recruits the criminals of the city to band together to bring down The Punisher, using the wife (played by Dexter's Julie Benz) and daughter of a slayed FBI agent as bait. Art Marcum, Matt Holloway, and Nick Santora provide the screenplay for the Lionsgate release. ~ Jeremy Wheeler, Rovi
