A pretty college student with mysterious supernatural powers become caught up in an ancient battle between good and evil in the ABC Family Original Movie remake of the 1978 cult classic. Sarah (Mika Boorem) and her twin sister Lindsey (Summer Glau) have always been at odds over Sarah's unexplainable telekinetic powers, but now that the two siblings have enrolled in Temple Hill University they're determined to focus on the future and forget about the past. While at first college life is everything that Sarah and Lindsey ever hoped it would be, their higher education soon grows complicated when both sisters are invited to pledge Alpha Nu Gamma and Pi Epsilon Delta: Temple Hill's oldest and most bitter rivals. Now, before they even take their first midterms, Sarah and Lindsey will be thrust into an ancient battle between good and evil that threatens to consume the entire campus. Actor and comedian Harry Shearer makes his directorial debut with this mock documentary about the slightly sordid pastimes of some of America's wealthiest and most powerful men. Zambesi Glen is a private resort in Northern California whose highly exclusive membership rolls includes high-echelon politicians, leaders of America's military, owners of the nation's biggest corporations, renowned and respected political thinkers, and a handful of celebrity guests; the club's membership is overwhelmingly white and exclusively male. Once a year, Zambesi Glen holds a week-long retreat for its members, and while this gathering features the occasional group discussion of political and economic issues, most of the week is devoted to swilling booze, staging comic skits, performing odd rituals not out of place at a Boy Scout camp, doing business with the prostitutes imported for the festivities, and generally carousing like frat boys on a bender. However, not all is well in this playground for the power elite; feminist groups are protesting Zambesi Glen's "men only" membership policy, and far more embarrassing, a television reporter has found a way to smuggle cameras into the well-guarded resort, giving the world a less than flattering look at what America's leadership likes to do for a good time. The revelers at Zambesi Glen are played by a top-shelf comic cast, including Michael McKean, George Wendt, Henry Gibson, Kenneth Mars, Fred Willard, Howard Hessman, and Bob Einstein; among the female interlopers are Morgan Fairchild, Joyce Hyser, and Ming-Na. Teddy Bears' Picnic was inspired by Harry Shearer's visit as a guest to Bohemian Grove, the real-life men's-only retreat whose members are said to include George W. Bush, Henry Kissinger, Dick Cheney, Malcolm Forbes, David Rockefeller, Casper W. Weinberger, and William F. Buckley, though the film's opening credits humorously disavows any resemblance between Zambesi Glen and Bohemian Grove. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

A woman desperate to save her husband is thrown into danger of her own in this thriller. Terry (Morgan Fairchild) and Scott (John James) are a couple who've fallen on hard times; ever since the death of Scott's brother, the family has been in crisis, and Scott has developed a rare degenerative bone disease. Scott's condition has been expensive to treat, and he's fallen behind on his mortgage payments; desperate to pay his medical bills and still keep a roof over their heads, Terry and Scott swallow their pride and decide to recover a cache of stolen money Scott's late brother hid in a cave, which is soon to be flooded after a dam is rerouted. While searching for the money, injured Scott becomes trapped in the cave, and Terry has to find help before he's trapped underwater. Terry thinks her troubles are over when she encounters outwardly friendly Vincent (Michael Pare), but she finds a new nightmare has just begun -- Vincent is an escaped mental patient with violent mood swings, and instead of helping her rescue Scott, he soon takes her hostage. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

This suspense film features Dennis Hopper as JD, a crazed kidnapper who hijacks a school bus (not unlike his crazed kidnapper in Speed) and holds the students hostage (one of the students is played by former Home Improvement star Zachery Ty Bryan). Even if the hostages are able to break free from their captors, they would have to survive the harsh terrain that surrounds the cabin in which they are being held. Teenager Carly Astin (Chandra West) is terrified of the new boyfriend brought home by her single mom Diana (Morgan Fairchild) -- so much so that she runs away from her Salt Lake City home and into the clutches of seductive, smooth-talking Brad Winters (Ricky Paull Goldin). Unfortunately, Winters is a "recruiter" for various houses of prostitution, some of them disguised as strip joints. Thus, Carly ends up taking her clothes off for libidinous strangers in a seedy Seattle nightspot, where she manages to remain more or less unsullied thanks to the maternal ministrations of older stripper Adrian (Venus Terzo) -- who is murdered for her troubles! It falls to Carly's mother Diana to come to her senses, shed her slimy beau, and rescue Carly from what used to be labeled "the fate worse than death." Attempting to take a well-deserved sharp poke at those based-on-a-true-story television movies that have usurped the old B-movies that once fed the public's addiction for exploitation fare, this satire chronicles the tragedy of a perfume magnate whose empire is endangered when she suddenly finds herself unable to smell. Worried, the beautiful Satin (Morgan Fairchild) runs to her longtime friend Varda (Dyan Cannon) for advice and then takes off to find her true roots. This leads her to Velour (Rikki Lake) and Corduroy (Victoria Jackson), her sister from whom she was separated at birth.
