Jeff Fahey Movies

Jeff Fahey was one of 13 children born to a suburban Buffalo couple. Fahey led a peripatetic early adulthood, holding down a multitude of jobs in a variety of countries. A stint with the Joffrey Ballet led to Broadway chorus work, which in turn led to speaking roles on both the New York and London stage. From 1982 to 1985, Fahey played Gary Corelli on the ABC soaper One Life to Live. His first film was Silverado (1985), in which he appeared as the villainous Tyree. He was subsequently seen as sleazy musician Dwayne Duke in Psycho III (1987), wide-eyed screenwriter Peter Verrill (a character based on real-life scrivener Peter Viertel) in Clint Eastwood's White Hunter, Black Heart (1990) and human guinea pig Jobe Smith in Lawnmower Man (1992). In 1995, Jeff Fahey returned to television as Winston MacBride on the weekly The Marshal. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

A young couple checks into a remote Louisiana motel, and realizes they may never check out in this nightmarish shocker featuring Michael Madsen and Jeff Fahey. Don (David James Elliot) and Nancy (Heather Marsden) are traveling down a lonely stretch of road late one night when a car appears out of the darkness, and crashes right into them. Stranded, they phone the local police for help, and the Sheriff (Fahey) directs them to a nearby motel where they can stay overnight, until the local repair shop opens the following morning. Unfortunately for the weary couple, their nightmare has only just begun. The owner of the motel is a man named Carter (Madsen) who makes his living on blood money, and controls everything that goes on in the backwoods town. It was no coincidence that the Sheriff brought Don and Nancy to Carter's hotel, because that's where the locals go to get their sick thrills. Soon after the young couple checks in, they come under attack from a gang of brutal killers who slaughter stranded travelers for fun. Now, if Don and Nancy can make it to the parking lot, they can simply drive away. But no one before them has ever made it out alive, and the closer it gets to dawn, the more it begins to look as they won't be the first to break the bloody tradition. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Robert Rodriguez brings a new breed of antihero to the big screen in this hyper-violent adaptation of the "fake" trailer originally featured in the 2007 double-feature exploitation throwback Grindhouse. Machete (Danny Trejo) is a former Mexican Federale who plays by his own rules, and doesn't answer to anybody. In the wake of a harrowing encounter with feared drug lord Torrez (Steven Seagal), Machete finds himself in Texas, where the shadowy Booth (Jeff Fahey) offers him the opportunity to make some quick cash by assassinating the unscrupulous Senator McLaughlin (Robert De Niro). When the job goes awry and Machete realizes he's been set up, he turns to fierce taco queen Luz (Michelle Rodriguez), heavily armed holy man Padre (Cheech Marin), and trigger-happy socialite April (Lindsay Lohan) to show Booth that he just messed with the wrong Mexican. But before they can get to Booth, Machete's gang will have to contend with blade-wielding ICE agent Sartana (Jessica Alba), who never met an adversary she couldn't flay. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

"When am I?" -- John Locke's chronological confusion sums up Season 5, which hopscotches dizzyingly between the 1970s and 2008 as it charts the Oceanic Six's return to the island and reveals important island secrets. On the island, Locke (Terry O'Quinn) is the new leader of the Others. But in L.A., he's dead, and his death plays a key role in getting Jack (Matthew Fox), Kate (Evangeline Lilly), Hurley (Jorge Garcia) and Sun (Yunjin Kim) to return via Ajira Airways. Sayid (Naveen Andrews) refuses to join his fellow former castaways, but winds up being escorted onto the Guam-bound flight by a bounty hunter named Ilana (Zuleikha Robinson). Ben (Michael Emerson) must return, too, to face judgment for allowing his daughter Alex to die. Their flight -- with Frank Lapidus (Jeff Fahey) at the controls -- is a bumpy one, but the final destination is indeed the island. Ben, Sun, Ilana and Frank remain fixed in time upon their return to the island, but Jack, Kate, Hurley and Sayid are flashed back in time to 1977, where they are reunited with Sawyer (Josh Holloway) and Juliet (Elizabeth Mitchell). After surviving a series of time-travel flashes, Sawyer and Juliet landed in the 1970s and forged a close relationship with each other and the Dharma Initiative, which also welcomes Miles Straume (Ken Leung). Meanwhile, Miles' colleague Daniel Faraday (Jeremy Davies) embarks on a time-traveling mission that introduces him to a nuclear bomb named Jughead and a young woman named Ellie. Both play prominent roles as the season progresses. ~ Paul Droesch, Rovi

Kill Bill director Quentin Tarantino and Sin City director Robert Rodriguez join forces to offer a cinematic tribute to the blood-soaked exploitation epics of yesteryear with this hyper-violent coupling of two full-length features punctuated by a collection of outrageous trailers. The first segment, directed by Rodriguez and entitled Planet Terror, details the violent struggle between a ravenous army of zombie-like humanoids who have taken control of the planet and the remaining survivors who refuse to go down without a fight. Freddy Rodriguez, Naveen Andrews, and Rose McGowan headline a cast that also includes Marley Shelton, Michael Biehn, Josh Brolin, Bruce Willis, and Tom Savini. In Death Proof -- director Tarantino's take on such peddle-to-the-metal shockers as White Line Fever -- Kurt Russell stars as an engine-revving psychopath who prefers to take out his beautiful victims at 200 mph. With a list of potential roadkill candidates that includes Rose McGowan, Jordan Ladd, Rosario Dawson, and Vanessa Ferlito, Death Proof takes viewers on an adrenaline-infused drive that's as sexy as it is shocking. Its tantalizing title borrowed from the term frequently used to describe the seedy, 1970s-era inner-city movie theaters that screened excessive, low-budget independent films containing copious amounts of violence and nudity as a means of offering counter-programming to the decidedly more restrained big-budget studio films, Grindhouse takes its love for these unabashedly sleazy efforts one step further by offering a jaw-dropping collection of fake exploitation trailers from such directors as Rob Zombie, Eli Roth, and Edgar Wright. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

In this two-part cable miniseries based on a novel by Frederick Forsyth (hence the proprietary title), a post-Communist Russia is mired in chaos and confusion. Emerging from the crowd to lead his fellow Russians out of the darkness and into the light is the fabulously popular presidential candidate Igor Komarov (Patrick Bergin). The only person savvy to what Komarov is up to is former CIA operative Jason Monk (Patrick Swayze), who takes it upon himself to save the new Russia from a horrendous fate -- and, incidentally, to settle a personal score with the beautiful but deadly Grishin.
