Tiffany Shepis Movies

Best known as one of Hollywood's resident scream queens, actress Tiffany Shepis specialized almost exclusively in the many variants of horror -- from psychological to supernatural terror. She debuted onscreen in her mid-teens with work for Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz's Troma company -- the label responsible for over-the-top, direct-to-video fright-fests -- where her assignments included a small role in Tromeo and Juliet (1996) and a hosting stint on the company's U.K. series, Edge T.V. From there, Shepis transitioned to another hosting assignment, this one on E! television's Wild on the Riviera and Sex on the Riviera series. Shepis took her big-screen feature bow in 2000's comedy Everything for a Reason, then divided her time between film -- in such horror outings as Ted Bundy (2001), The Hazing (2004), Nightmare Man (2006), and Bryan Loves You (2007), while also working on music videos for acts including Wu-Tang Clan and the Offspring. ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide

A long-dormant Hollywood mystery returns with ferocious intensity when an avid movie fan wins a walk-on role in an upcoming horror film and finds himself thrust into the center of a blood-soaked, behind-the-scenes killing spree. Adam Waltz (Edward Furlong) was beginning to think his life was going nowhere until the day he won a role in the latest shocker from high-powered studio chief Connor Pritchett (Lance Henrikson). But just as Adam meets scream queen Cassie Blue (Tiffany Shepis) and all his wildest fantasies start coming true, a serial killer begins stalking the set and slaughtering all of the actors. Scheming to cash in on the publicity while the bodies are still warm, Pritchett attempts to turn the low-budget thriller into a Hollywood hit. The first step is to expand Adam's role - not a difficult goal considering the actors are dropping like flies - though the future of the film comes into question when Detective Shields (Tony Todd) takes up the case. Shields is determined to get his man, even if it means shutting down the production altogether. Now everyone is a suspect, including Adam, and the only hope for getting the film made is to wrap up production before the entire crew gets sent home in body bags. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Notorious schlock and psychotronic production company Troma (known for such classics as Toxic Avenger and Class of Nuke 'Em High) hails Tromeo and Juliet, its contemporary adaptation of Shakespeare's love tragedy, a "thrill-a-minute, body-piercing, computer sex, sapphic, car-crashing extravaganza." Set in New York City, the tale centers on the Ques and the Capulets. The bitter feud begins when father Capulet steals father Que's Silky Films production company. As enemies, the two warring clans are always doing horrible things to each other. Tromeo Que is a computer nerd who spends much time fondling himself in front of his favorite sexy CD-ROMs until he falls in love with lovely Juliet and proposes to her while she sits upon a toilet. The film, seemingly aimed at adolescent boys, features violence, considerable gore, profanity, vulgar situations (featuring buckets of fake vomit), and the graphic depiction of body piercing. (Of course, if it didn't, it wouldn't be a Troma film.) ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
