Aimed at adolescent audiences, this Peruvian romance features a pair of protagonists who appeared separately in two of director Augusto Tamayo's earlier films, Gregorio and Julianna. Gregorio is 22 and trying to earn money for college at a local gas station. Meanwhile Julianna is busy trying to feed a passel of ghetto children. Sometimes her methods for getting food and money are outside the law. She meets Gregorio after she fumbles while picking his pocket. Finding him intriguing, she begins to follow him about. Too street-weary to show her feelings at first, she is just about to share them when the two end up accidentally embroiled with crooks, radical guerrillas, and policemen. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi
