When famous musician Arjun (Ajay Devgan) invites his childhood friend Mannu (Salman Khan) to join his band and tour Europe, jealousy and betrayal threaten to destroy the lives and dreams of both men. Arjun worked hard to make London Dreams a success, and now that his band is topping the charts, he invites his old friend Mannu to jump into the fray. Mannu was performing at weddings just to survive, and in the blink of an eye he's on top of the world. But success comes easy for Mannu, and in time Arjun starts to resent his old friend. When Mannu steals the girl of Arjun's dreams right out from under his nose, the vindictive musician plots to destroy the very man he previously tried to help. Love and dreams follow two starry-eyed actors across three decades and two incarnations in this splashy Hindi musical. It's the early Seventies, and Om Prakash Makhija (Shah Rukh Khan) is a young would-be actor who has been playing bit parts in Bollywood musicals while looking for his big break. Om's ambition is to become a film star and win the heart of beautiful screen siren Shantipriya (Deepika Padukone), and his pal Pappu (Shreyas Talpade) and his mother Bela (Kirron Kher) both encourage him not to give up on his dreams. One day, Om meets Shantipriya on a movie set, and he feels as if destiny is finally smiling on him, but when he overhears her having an argument with studio chief Mukesh Mehra (Arjun Rampal), Om senses things are not as they should be. Before Om can decide what to make of his misgivings, the studio burns to the ground, claiming the lives of Om and Shantipriya. Thirty years later, a bit of Om's spirit seems to live on in Om Kapoor (also played by Shah Rukh Khan) a popular film actor with a large ego and a fear of flame who was born the day the old studio burned down. Despite his fame, Om is lonely, at least until he meets Sandhya (also played by Deepika Padukone), a shy but eager would-be actress looking for her chance to become a star. A mere mortal gets the unique opportunity to try his hand at being the creator in director Rumy Jaffery's heavenly comedy. A woman must fight for justice as she battles a deadly disease in this Bollywood drama, one of the first films from India to deal with the controversial subject of AIDS. Tamanna Sahani (Shilpa Shetty) is a rising executive at an advertising agency who has been an aggressive go-getter ever since the death of her parents left her to fend for herself and her younger sister, Tanya, who has begun to make a name for herself as a radio announcer. Tamanna attends her high-school reunion and sees Rohit Manchanda (Salman Khan) for the first time in years; Rohit is a handsome but humble musician whom Tamanna carried a torch for back in the day, and she soon discovers her feelings haven't dimmed with time. Caught up in the moment, Rohit and Tamanna spend the night making love, but must part in the morning with a promise to meet again soon. In time Tamanna discovers Rohit was carrying an terrible secret -- he is HIV-positive, and she learns she is now carrying the AIDS virus as well. When her employers learn of her condition, Tamanna is fired despite her sterling work record, and Tarun Anand (Abhishek Bachchan), a respected lawyer with a history of taking on socially responsible cases, represents Tamanna in court as she fights for her right to work. Tamanna also tries to track down Rohit, only to discover the fates have not been kind to him. Bollywood meets Russia in this drama from India seasoned with romance. Lucky Negi (Sneha Ullal) is the 18-year-old daughter of an Indian civil service agent attached to the nation's Russian embassy. While Lucky loves her family, she feels out of place in St. Petersburg, and wishes her life were more exciting. One day, while on her way to school, Lucky is unwittingly caught in the crossfire between Russian troops and renegade military factions; when she's nearly attacked by a soldier, she runs for cover and ends up in a car being driven by Aditya Sekhri (Salman Khan), the twentysomething son of the Indian ambassador. Aditya's car is destroyed in the melee, and he and Lucky find themselves stranded far away from the city, so they must struggle together to find their way back to safety. Romantic misunderstandings, unrequited love, and the gap between two very different cultures provide the backdrop for this romantic musical drama from India. A jealous Vanraj packs his bags and sets out to find the singer, wanting to know the nature of the relationship between him and Nandini.
