In this film, there is a popular television game-show called "A Smoking Gun," whose purpose is to solve murders on the air. Nolan (Sam Trammell) is an intern with this show. His job is to investigate the claims of would-be contestants. In this case, he goes to a resort island off the Massachusetts/Rhode Island coasts. Lucille, a woman living in one of the island's hotels has been writing the show for months, claiming that several murders were committed where she lives, and that she knows because she helped commit them. Nolan, a good-spirited lad who wishes to believe the best of everyone, is misled from the beginning by various members of the local community, who claim that Lucille is making things up. Gus (John Randolph), the hotel caretaker, seeks to fulfill his great dream of becoming the owner of the hotel. To that end, while Nolan is busy courting a local girl, Gus reluctantly murders several more people (including Lucille) directly under Nolan's increasingly inattentive nose. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide
Ron Fazio returns as The Toxic Avenger, "the first hideously deformed monster hero of superhuman size and strength ever to come from New Jersey," in Troma's mercenary sequel to its hit film The Toxic Avenger. Since Toxie cleaned up Tromaville, New Jersey in the first film, he now has no one to fight. He works at the Tromaville Center for The Blind and has a girlfriend named Claire (Phoebe Legere). But the peace in Tromaville is shattered when an evil chemical company, Apocalypse Inc., and its dastardly chairman (Rick Collins), set their sights on Tromaville. In order to take over Tromaville, the Toxic Avenger must be eliminated. By intense study, Apocalypse's second-in-command, Maifaire (Lisa Gaye), discovers that Toxie's desire to vanquish villains is caused by particles manufactured in his body called "tromatons." Apocalypse Inc. bribes Toxie's psychiatrist to suggest that Toxie form a relationship with his father in order to get Toxie out of the country. His father happens to be in Japan and Toxie makes the trip to find him. While out of sight of his hometown, Apocalypse Inc. takes over Tromaville. Meanwhile, in Japan, Toxie finally finds his father but it turns out that his father is an arch-villain who must be killed. "Anti-tromatons" employed in the battle with his father render him weak and wounded, but a team of sumo wrestlers nurse him back to health and Toxie travels back to New Jersey for a confrontation with Apocalypse Inc. in Tromaville. ~ Paul Brenner, All Movie Guide

Ruth Warren (Jessica Dublin) is a former movie star who hopes to restore her youthful beauty in this low-budget horror feature. She funds the research of Dr. Gregory Ashton (John MacKay), who develops a serum that reverses the aging process, and she willingly volunteers to become a human laboratory rat and takes the serum. The rejuvenated woman dubs herself Elizabeth (Vivian Lanko). What she doesn't know is that Ashton robs the brains of dead bodies to get the chemical needed for the formula, and the side effects turn monstrous for Elizabeth who resorts to murder in her lust for human brains. During the late '60s and early '70s, retired pro-football quarterback Joe Namath made a number of films. Last Rebel is one of them. Set in Missouri near the end of the American Civil War, Confederate soldiers Burnside Hollis (Joe Namath), a pool shark, and his friend Matt Graves (Jack Elam) rescue a black man from a lynching. Burnside begins to win pool matches for bigger and bigger stakes, and his friends begin to fall by the wayside as he woos the ladies and wins the games. In this comic Italian Western, the third of the "Trinity" series, Trinity (Terence Hill) and his brother Bambino (Bud Spencer) abandon their law-enforcement duties and try to join the world of horse thieves and criminals. Despite their bad intentions, and their own unbelievable klutziness, they end up helping everyone they meet. Their deadpan earnestness in improbable situations helps make this broad comedy work. What happens when they visit a snooty French restaurant is one of the highlights of the film. This chilling mystery begins when Lucy Dawson (Flora Robson) is found strangled in her apartment. Her nephew Tim (David Hemmings) is the former-drug-addict-turned-successful-author who wrote a book about his experiences. When Tim looks into his aunt's death, people give sketchy answers and the police offer little help. Apparently they think his pleas are simply a drug-addict's ravings. As he investigates he begins to find himself plagued by threatening phone calls, and his own paranoia. The pressure begins mounting until at last he suffers a complete breakdown. In 1969, The Damned (La caduta degli dei) was director Luchino Visconti's most controversial film to date. Soon the Baron is dead and Bruckman (Dirk Bogarde) becomes company president. Son Martin (Helmut Berger) is the dope-addicted teenager who sleeps with his mother and drags her into her own dependence on drugs. Ever in pursuit of more millions to add to their already bulging coffers, the family plays along with the Nazis, descending into corruption, betrayal and murder all along the way.
