This family-oriented fairy tale was shot on-location in Romania and is set in medieval times. There teenage Prince Davin and his father engage in a playful joust that unfortunately results in injury for the King who eventually dies, not because of the joust but because his devious head knight El El has been slowly poisoning him. As soon as the king dies, El El claims the crown until poor guilt wracked Davin comes of age. Under El El's ruthless reign, the poor peasants fall into a grim oppressed life. To make it worse, the villainous king claims he is acting under the orders of Davin. Eventually Davin figures out El El's treachery and confronts him. El El decides Davin must die and so the boy flees with only his father's perplexing last words to guide him. Just before he expired, the King whispered of a statuette of the mythical Galgameth, a giant metal-munching dragon that will faithfully serve the one who sheds tears upon the statue. Though big and clunky looking, Galgameth has a certain homely charm that will appeal to children. With the giant monster's help, good Prince Davin is able to ensure a happy ending for his kingdom. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide

Rodney Dangerfield plays it cute in this comedy directed by veteran director Sidney J. Furie. Dangerfield plays Chester Lee, a man so anxious for a promotion that he agrees to coach a girl's soccer team his company is sponsoring. If the team has a winning season, Chester will get his promotion. The only problem is that Chester knows nothing about soccer and the team is incompetent. If Chester doesn't get his raise he won't be able to marry his sweetheart Bess (Illene Graff), so he persuades his son Matthew (Jonathan Brandis), who is an expert soccer player, to don a wig and join the team as one of the girls. With Matthew on the team, they make their way to the championship, but Bess discovers the ruse and forces Chester to chose between her and the job. ~ Paul Brenner, All Movie Guide

Also known as Nightmare, the made-for-TV Don't Touch My Daughter debuted April 7, 1991. In this human-scale drama/comedy, a pair of Beverly Hills parents, Albert (Ryan O'Neal) and Lucy (Shelley Long) first come together as a couple interested in writing (she) and teaching (he), but Albert's life takes an upscale turn when he starts both writing and then directing in Hollywood. As he becomes successful, Lucy is forced to burrow into her own writing in self-defense, and after her book is well-received, she is compensated a little for Albert's lack of attention and philandering. After Hollywood and its well-known flaws are sketched out in the increasingly strained marriage, the story reaches its primary focus: Albert and Lucy's 9-year-old daughter Casey (Drew Barrymore) talks to a lawyer because she wants to sue her parents for divorce. She gets no hugs or affection, and precious little attention, and she would prefer to go live with the maid. Given the parents' celebrity, the case receives wide press -- and the family begins to reconsider where it is going and why. Although a bit long, especially in the first half which wanders off course a little, the story is engaging enough (especially for Hollywood buffs) to balance any weaknesses. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, All Movie Guide
