John Carson (not Johnny Carson, as listed in some source books) stars in the grim British programmer Act of Murder. Carson plays an actor who still carries a torch for his ex-mistress Justine Lord, even though she is now happily married to Anthony Bate. With cold-blooded resolve, the actor conducts a campaign to drive Bate to a nervous breakdown. Instead, the distracted husband is driven to commit murder. Act of Murder was given a limited American release by Warner Bros. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
- Starring:
- Justine Lord
Bob Monkhouse and Kenneth Connor, two escapees from Britain's Carry On series, star in Dentist on the Job. Bob and Ken play a daft pair of dental school graduates who pound the pavement trying to sell a new brand of toothpaste. If there is a single solitary oral-surgery gag left untapped (or undrilled) by this film, we'd like to see it. Shirley Eaton, the "gilded girl" from Goldfinger, is around to play nurse while the two stars play doctor. The original British title of Dentist on the Job is Get On With It. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

- Bob Monkhouse, Kenneth Connor, (more)
One of the many "B"-grade British comedies meant to fill the lower half of a double-billing, Over the Odds is about bookkeeper George Summers (Glenn Melvyn), who has opted to marry one more time after his first wife left him. Unfortunately, his ex-wife's harridan mother-in-law (Marjorie Rhodes) did not leave with her daughter. Now the new wife and the old mother-in-law are at loggerheads -- not a recipe for the beginning of a successful marriage. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, All Movie Guide

- Marjorie Rhodes, Glenn Melvyn, (more)
