Rosalinde Fuller played Ophelia to
John Barrymore's Hamlet on Broadway in 1922. Originally a singer,
Fuller had previously appeared in such lightweight fare as the 1921 Greenwich Village Follies, a sort of a poor man's Ziegfeld Follies, but she remained in
Shakespearean repertory for years to come and played all the major parts to
Basil Gill's bard in the 1935 film biography
The Immortal Gentleman. Her few other screen roles were unimportant. ~ Hans J. Wollstein, All Movie Guide
