Henchmen of the dictator from an unnamed South American country blackmail Nick Thomas (Ian Hendry) into being a government spy. The former smuggler is to pose as a priest and enter a monastery thought to be sympathetic with rebel guerillas. For his compliancy, Nick is supposed to receive money and his freedom. Marina (Graciela Borges) poses as a prostitute in hopes of being thrown in jail to contact political prisoners. Maurice Evans plays Father James Keefe, suspected of being a rebel conspirator. Enrique Sandoval is sufficiently sinister as the corrupt police chief who follows the orders of the ruthless dictator. Heroina: 1965

In this drama, set in New York City, a boy from a good family takes a bad road when he becomes a heroin addict. As a result, he ends up serving 6-months in jail. Upon his release, he begins working for his father. Just as his life begins to really shape up, the boy meets his old dealer for a drink. The father, assuming the worst, tosses the boy from his home. In desperation, the destitute lad begins selling the drug himself. He cannot handle being around the drug and soon finds himself shooting up again. Because the gang doesn't want addicts selling their drugs, they kick him out. The boy has nowhere to go, no money, and nothing else to lose, so he returns home. Harbor Lights: 1963

In this mystery a Yankee gambler travels to Puerto Rico to see his brother. He soon discovers that his brother has been murdered for his involvement with a stolen diamond. The surviving brother begins to investigate the death, but is hindered by police detectives. Thunder Island: 1963

In this drama, a hit man is hired by a group of South American nationalists to kill their exiled ruler in his new Caribbean home. To get there, he hijacks a boat and its two frightened occupants. He keeps the boat-owner's wife as his hostage. When he gets to the island, the assassin misses his mark and suddenly finds himself targeted for death by the deposed dictator's henchmen and by the boat owner. It is the latter who finally kills the hit man and rescues his terrified wife. The story is filmed on location in Puerto Rico. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi
