Now, as Byron uses his powers to take possession of unsuspecting hosts in the real world and command a frightening array of ominous creatures in the realm of the unconscious, Danny must face unimaginable horrors to defeat the malevolent killer and save the woman he loves. In this sequel to 1996's The Dentist, Corbin Bernsen returns as Dr. Feinstone, the obsessive-compulsive dentist whose wife's infidelities left him a deranged monster. Picking up on the IRS audit subplot of the original film, The Dentist II tracks Feinstone after his escape from a mental institution to Paradise, a sleepy little town where he's been socking away his assets and leading a double life under an assumed name. Pretending to have retired from his big-city dental practice, "Dr. Caine" rents a house from the lovely Jamie Devers (Jillian McWirther), but soon finds himself drawn back into the exam room after the local dentist's working habits don't pass muster. Killing the old guy for incorrectly gluing one of his own capped teeth, Feinstone/Caine sets up shop himself, starts dating Jamie, and soon grows homicidally jealous over her friendship with another man. As the killing continues, Feinstone remains unaware that a detective is on his trail. Soon, a toothless, tongueless woman from the dentist's past shows up in Paradise, interrupting his killing spree. Though Drew (Drew Carey) beats the drug rap thrust upon him by loopy Larry (Ian Gomez), the government seizes Drew's house and puts it up for auction, forcing our hero to take up residence with Larry and Oswald (Diedrich Bader). To extricate himself from his current financial mess, Drew follows the advice of Nicki (Kate Walsh) and declares bankruptcy, then contrives to win back his house by having Larry make the biggest auction bids. Unfortunately, Drew reckons without the connivances of his nasty neighbors--to say nothing of Mimi (Kathy Kinney). Originally telecast as a two-hour special, the first episode of ER has since been divided into a two-parter for syndication. In part one, young and inexperienced third-year med student John Carter (Noah Wyle) reports for work at the emergency room of Chicago's County General Hospital. During a hectic 24-hour shift, Carter is brusquely introduced to his future co-workers: his arrogant trainer, Dr. Peter Benton (Eriq La Salle); workaholic chief resident Dr. Mark Greene (Anthony Edwards); the equally hardworking Dr. Susan Lewis (Sherry Stringfield); the womanizing Dr. Douglas Ross (George Clooney); and troubled head nurse Carol Hathaway (Julianna Margulies). All in all, it is a typical shift at the ER, with cases ranging from gunshot wounds, ruptured aneurysms, burns, and even hangnails -- but a few surprises are in store for both the staff and the viewers at home. In part two, inexperienced three-year med student John Carter continues to cope as best he can with his hectic first day in the emergency room of Chicago's County General Hospital. Meanwhile, chief resident Greene weighs the possibility of entering private practice; Carter's supervisor, Benton, oversteps his authority by operating on a patient with an aortic aneurysm; and troubled head nurse, Carol Hathaway, becomes a patient herself after attempting suicide (originally intended as a one-shot character, Hathaway proved so popular with the viewers that she was immediately pencilled in as a regular). ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

As a prank, Will (Will Smith) and Jazz (Jeff Townes) steal a rival college's prize statue just before an important football game. In retaliation, students from the other school kidnap the University of Los Angeles' mascot--which happens to be Carlton (Alfonso Ribeiro) in a peacock costume (Guess which TV network used to show Fresh Prince of Bel-Air). Two roadblocks stand in the way of their success: (1) They live in Dayton, Ohio; and (2) they're terminally stupid. In a rare moment of lucidity, the boys decide head to Hollywood to seek their fortune. In the course of their 10 day westward journey, our heroes meet an assortment of eccentrics, including a crazed cop with a pet shark and an outer-space robot. 2 Idiots in Hollywood was written and directed by Stephen Tobolowsky, the Texas-born character actor who previously masterminded the 1986 laughfest True Stories. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Season three of Hunter starts with a bang--actually several bangs--as police detective Rick Hunter (Fred Dryer) manages to shoot down one of two escaping murderers. Alas, the other killer gets away thanks to the interference of "gonzo" TV reporter Raoul Mercado (a thinly disguised "Geraldo" type played by Michael Wren). After Hunter has Mercado arrested, the reporter launches a personal vendetta against the detective, publicly raking him over the coals for his violent arrest record. Thus it is that when Mercado is killed by a car bomb, Hunter is Suspect Number One.
