It's the KACL staff versus another Seattle radio station in a weight-loss contest -- with a trip to Las Vegas as the grand prize. The resultant food deprivation leads to varying degrees of hostility and dizziness for everyone but Frasier (Kelsey Grammer), who refuses to participate in the contest--until he discovers that the rival station's manager (Bill Kirchenbauer) is the bully who made his life miserable in high school. Meanwhile, the nightly tossing and turning of the pregnant Daphne (Jane Leeves) is taking a surprising physical toll on poor Niles (David Hyde Pierce). This episode marked the last Frasier appearance of Dan Butler in the role of radio sports-show host Bob "Bulldog" Briscoe. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

In true Tales of Manhattan fashion, it seems that the pot has in one way or another touched the lives of everyone in Frasier's circle of friends and loved ones. Excerpts from past episodes include an impromptu Fourth of July "balcony party," Roz's (Peri Gilpin) brief tenure as a phone-sex operator, and a truly sticky situation involving Frasier and a girl named Lizbeth (Rosie Perez). ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Meanwhile, Martin (John Mahoney), Niles (David Hyde Pierce), and Daphne (Jane Leeves) try to cover up the damage inflicted on Frasier's apartment by a not-so-concealed weapon. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
To prove to Niles (David Hyde Pierce) that he doesn't deliberately go out of his way to sabotage his own romances, Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) vows to regain the affections of Julia (Felicity Huffman). As the man said, "love is blind", and Frasier remains sublimely oblivious to Julia's innumerable faults. All this changes, however, when Julia shoots off her big mouth at the party where Daphne (Jane Leeves) and Niles (David Hyde Pierce) had planned to make their big annoucement about Daphne's pregnancy. This episode originally aired the same night as Frasier's 11th-season opener, "No Sex Please, We're Skittish." ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
