An ongoing philosophical conversation provides a backdrop for a deadly game of cat and mouse in this comedy-drama from filmmaker Gregory Dark. Mr. Jack (Matthew Modine) and Sweet Stephen (Callum Blue) are two men who spend their days wandering the streets of Los Angeles and chatting. Jack and Stephen enjoy talking about the big questions of life -- love, hate, violence and mortality -- but their conversations are not quite what they seem to be on the surface. Mr. Jack is actually a hired killer and Sweet Stephen is his conscience, and as they explore the City of Angels they frequently pass the bodies of women Jack has murdered. As the body count rises as Jack and Stephen ponder the imponderable, Tommy (Adam Baldwin), a police detective with a renegade streak, is on the trail of the killer. The horror rises like baker's yeast in this sequel to the fully baked frightener about a murderous cookie man with a true taste for terror. After inheriting his father's fledgling film studio, ambitious young producer Kelvin Cheatam announces an outrageous slate of genre films that will have horror hounds drooling and hopefully save the studio from bankruptcy. "Hamburger Time Traveler Detective" and "Space Spankers 2015" are sure to be big hits, but Cheatam's most personal project is "Tiny Terrors 9: Purgatory of the Petite." The "Tiny Terrors" series was his father's most infamous film series, and Cheatam is determined to carry on the twisted family tradition. Two brothers who make their living through murder and theft find that their work gets harder when they tangle with an intelligent young woman in this dark thriller. Siblings John (Jake Muxworthy) and Michael (Gabriel Mann) were raised by their father (Tom Sizemore), a psychopath who drifted from town to town, killing people and taking their homes and belongings when he ran low on money. John and Michael traveled with their dad, and have grown up to follow in his footsteps, though while Michael enjoys his work and takes particular pleasure in raping and murdering women, John has less enthusiasm for violence and prefers to kill only when the circumstances demand it, without developing a close connection with his victims. John and Michael's ways take a disquieting turn when they abduct Archer (Kelli Garner), a clever and attractive young woman whom both men fall for. This situation begins to deeply trouble John, and his half-sister, Gertie (Lauren German), suggests that it's time he gave up his life of crime, though it soon becomes clear she has motives of her own. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

In this low-budget action adventure, a former Special Operations agents becomes a mysterious crime fighter to avenge the slaughter of his beloved family by the fugitive convicts he sent to prison. He and his family were living under assumed names and believed they were safe. But despite the warnings of his former superior Derek Leigh could not save them. Two detectives show up, but Leigh will not talk to them. It is while looking at his son's simple drawing of a super hero that Leigh decides to don a costume and get the bad guys himself. Wearing a leotard, boots, a mask and painting his face to resemble the title cat, he begins brushing up on martial arts and lifting weights. He then arms himself with assorted darts, throwing stars and arrows all dipped in a special sleeping potion. Penurious but muscle-bound Blake Thorne (famed wrestler turned actor Hulk Hogan) has made a vast fortune marketing health food and health supplements. He once was a nice fellow, but as his wealth increases, he becomes increasingly self-centered and decadent. One day, he gets in a great paint-gun fight that goes too far. Blake escapes the cops by running into a shopping mall, quickly donning a Santa Suit and pretending to be St. Nick. A head injury causes Blake to suffer amnesia, and an opportunistic "elf" decides to convince Blake that he is indeed Santa. This leads "Santa" to help save an orphanage, filled with adorable moppets, from the machinations of a greedy, insane doctor. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi
