Set in San Francisco, this romantic comedy centers on the relationships between an aspiring actress and a blue-eyed handsome fellow who meets all her stringent requirements for being the "Perfect Boyfriend." Actress Frankie has spent much of her young-adult life living in an apartment of Uncle Leo's Café. She works there as a waitress along with Rob, her cousin. There they usually hang out with their friends, slacker Juice and fellow would-be star Allison. Before spying beautiful, blue-eyed David, Frankie refused to waste her time dating anyone "less than extraordinary." But the minute they meet, they begin exchanging literary quotes and from there it is love all the way, at least until Frankie learns that David has a girl friend. Sam Grimm (Perry Lang) and his brother Max (Christopher Atkins) stand to inherit the mortuary academy that bears their family name in this black comedy. The two brothers must first graduate, and their progress is monitored by school manager Dr. Paul Truscott (Paul Bartell) and the academy's top lecturer Mary Purcell (Mary Woronov). Truscott is blackmailed when he falls in love with a corpse (Cheryl Starbuck), a beautiful cheerleader who choked to death on popcorn. Dickson (Tracey Walter) is the mechanical wizard whose animatronic expertise brings a dead heavy-metal band back to life for one last encore performance. The frequently used title An Eye for an Eye was applied to a Chuck Norris martial-arts festival in 1981. Norris plays Sean Kane, a San Francisco cop whose partner is murdered by an Oriental drug ring. Told to keep his distance by his superiors, Kane quits the force and sets out to exact vengeance. In the first episode of a three-part story, President Grant (William Bryant) asks Jason (Chuck Connors) to find out the reason that maverick general George Armstrong Custer (Robert Lansing) has been making public attacks against the Grant adminstration's Indian policy. Outwardly, it seems that Custer is concerned only with the safety of the white settlers who have nested in the territory controlled by Chief Crazy Horse (Michael Pate). But as Jason soon learns to his chagrin, his former West Point comrade Custer has an ulterior motive that may result in wholesale slaughter. Acting on behalf of President Grant, Jason McCord (Chuck Connors) has received evidence that Indian shaman Sitting Bull (Felix Locher) did not murder a crooked Indian agent as claimed. Racing against time, McCord hurries to convey this information to Custer--who has already gathered his 7th Cavalry for a rendezvous with destiny.
