In this psychological thriller, Sarah (Katie Wright) is a young women from England studying art in San Francisco who has started dating Chris (Allen Cutler), a fellow student. Sarah's next door neighbor is Matthew (Jeff Fahey), a violent lunatic malignly obsessed with Sylvie (Emmanuelle Vaugier), an exotic dancer who moonlights as a model at Sarah's art school. As Matthew begins cutting a bloody swath through the Bay Area in an effort to satisfy his lust for violence, Sarah begins noticing a disturbing connection between her art and the victims of Matthew's crimes; as she sculpts characters that appear in her imagination, identical people fall to a serial killer. The Demon Within (aka The Sculptress) also stars Patrick Bauchau as Professor Giraud, one of Sarah's instructors, and Vivis Colombetti as Madame Cleo, a psychic who sees dire events in her future. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

Every 1,300 years, the "Demon of Fear," Barbas (Billy Drago, in his first series appearance), emerges from the Underworld, intent upon scaring all good witches literally to death on the occasion of Friday the 13th (significantly, this episode originally aired on Friday, February 13, 1999). Receiving an ominous warning from a very reliable source about Barbas' impending return, the Halliwell sisters prepare to do battle against the demon -- while Prue (Shannen Doherty) struggles to overcome an inner demon of her own making. Even with all this activity, Piper (Holly Marie Combs) finds time to inaugurate another romance (or at least, attempt to do so), while Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) again has trouble adjusting to a new job -- and this one is very important, not only to her but to her sisters. ~ All Movie Guide

After filmmakers with varying degrees of talent managed to squeeze an unbelievable eight sequels out of the already-weak premise of the original Amityville Horror, the makers of this installment manage to go off on an even weirder tangent, with evil forces from the Long Island haunted house traipsing to yet another part of the world -- this time in a creepy little miniature replica. The dollhouse is well-constructed, and probably began life as a special-effects miniature from one of the previous films. Not one of the worst sequels, but unnecessary nonetheless; one can only hope that Amityville Dollhouse might finally encourage the film community to throw the last shovelful of dirt on this decaying concept and move on... a notion certainly shared by most moviegoers. ~ Cavett Binion, All Movie Guide

During a big barroom brawl, petty crook Martin accidentally shoots the son of a crime lord and flees to the relative safety of a remote northern California logging community in this taut drama. In the little town, he takes over an abandoned hunting cabin, changes his name and begins working as a logger. Eventually he meets, Anna, a lovely young widow and her teenage son, Jeff. The disparate twosome fall in love, but Martin tells Anna nothing about his past. She has a good effect on him and he tries to live a decent life. Unfortunately, a crooked sheriff learns the truth and begins trying to blackmail him. He also meets opposition with his crew boss Max, Anna's suspicious brother. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
