In this drama, Shoemie, a young African-American, returns to Oakland, his hometown, after a lengthy absence and begins managing a group home for young people. Soon he finds himself falling in love with Imani, an idealistic college student and reconnecting with his old homeys who hold a variety of jobs ranging from policeman to pusher. Later, Shoemie and Imani begin working together to help clean up their community and provide jobs for the economically-challenged residents. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
Never released in the theaters, this film consists of a series of short skits and parodies of television and the movies, and stars Richard Belzer, Martin Mull, and Harry Shearer.
