In the first episode of a three-part story, Jason McCord (Chuck Connors) is invited to Washington DC by his ex-fiancee Laurette (played by Connors' then wife Kamala Devi) and her father, Senator Hastings (Macdonald Carey). It turns out that Lansing is one of several people who hope to benefit by discrediting the late General Reed, who had been McCord's superior officer at the Battle of Bitter Creek. Although he could clear himself of desertion charges by ruining Reed's reputation, McCord refuses to do so--but this is only the beginning of the story. In the saga of Hollywood's slow, slow maturation in the depiction of Native Americans, Geronimo highlights an early '60s turning point -- his character is drawn with sympathy -- but no more than that. Chuck Connors, an obviously Caucasian actor, plays the great chief, and there is not a single Native American actor in the cast. The story centers on Geronimo's escape from oppressive conditions on his reservation, and his garnering of forces in Mexico to wage war against the U.S. Several misconceptions are still scattered throughout the tale, especially the indication at the end that Geronimo was successful in obtaining fair treatment for all Native Americans at the hands of the U.S. government. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi

In this drama, the daughter of the leader of Carthage falls in love with the mercenary leader of an angered band of soldiers who are out to get the pay they were cheated out of after they valiantly fought to save the city. The woman promises to give him her jewels to repay them, but then a dishonest local politician intervenes and exchanges the gems for rocks and keeps the valuables for himself. The mercenaries begin to attack the city in earnest until the dishonest fellow's actions are revealed and he is executed. The mysterious Indian jungle provides the setting for this adventure where a one-legged hunter pursues a terrifying tiger, a man-eater. On the hunt, the man encounters the cowardly fellow who caused him to lose his leg in a POW camp. Together they face the snarling, cornered jungle cat. Again, the fellow chickens out, resulting in the near-fatal mauling of the hunter. Later, the coward's wife helps the battered hunter recuperate. As she ministers to him, the hunter can't help but fall in love with her. He begins to drink heavily. He stops when he learns that the coward's son has wandered off into the dangerous jungle. Not wanting the lad to be tiger chow, the hunter sets off to kill the beast. He succeeds. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi
