A former drug-addict in her early thirties attempts to put her shady past to rest while paving the way for a brighter future in director Rowan Woods' tale of love, trust, and redemption in modern-day Australia. Tracy Heart (Cate Blanchett) hasn't lived her 32 years so much as she has simply survived them. Ravaged by the drug-addiction and determined to redeem herself in the eyes of her overworked single-mother Janelle (Noni Hazelhurst), Tracy makes a personal vow to open her own business and turn her life around before it's too late and life has passed her by. Tracy's plan is complicated, however, when three men from her past reappear with their own plans for the future. In addition to the troubling re-appearance of her ex-boyfriend Jonny (Dustin Nguyen), her criminal-minded brother Ray (Martin Henderson) seems hell-bent on making a name for himself in the underworld, and the emotional demands of troubled family friend and ex-football star Lionel Dawson (Hugo Weaving) have left the emotionally vulnerable Tracy shaken and confused. When Tracy's modest dreams of a happy life catch the attention of feared criminal kingpin Bradley "The Jockey" Thompson (Sam Neill), she is forced to place her fragile trust in the hands of her skeptical mother and take one last trip into the past to confront her greatest fear.

And the seductive but deadly PK Commandant Grayza (Rebecca Rigg) launches another all-out effort to capture Moya and her crew. The thriller Do or Die stars Kate Ashfield as doctor Samantha Sheppard, a woman who must reveal an uncomfortable secret to her husband. She must confess to her husband (Hugo Speer), that he is not the father of their son after doctors diagnose the boy with leukemia. She must also find the boy's biological father so that a necessary medical procedure can transpire. Seeking solace after learning of the death of her brother, Chiana (Gigi Edgley) borrows Aeryn's power system and speeds off to the Royal Cemetary Planet. Here Chiana forms a bond with the Clansmen, a underground community of teens and young adults who sustain themselves with drugs and hedonism. Aeryn (Claudia Black) and Crichton (Ben Browder) are willing to respect Chiana's efforts to assuage her grief, but Rygel (Jonathan Hardy) tries to profit from the girl's plight by plundering the Cemetary Planet's tombs -- with horrifying results. Crichton awakens to find himself in a hospital bed back on earth. Those attending him assure Crichton that everything he experienced on the Moya was nothing more than a dream. But having previously been hoodwinked into believing he had returned home, Crichton remains on his guard, especially when confronting a number of "strangers" who bear startling resemblances to his fellow crew members (for example, that nurse who calls herself Bettina Fairchild is the spitting image of Crichton's PK sweetheart Aeryn). In this first episode of a pivotal two-part Farscape story, Aeryn has suffered stab wounds, requiring an emergency tissue graft. To expedite this operation, Crichton (Ben Browder) disguises himself as a PeaceKeeper captain, and in the company of Chiana (Gigi Edgley) he infiltrates the PK's Gammak Base. Upon his arrival, Crichton again crosses the path of sympathetic PK tech girl Gilliana (Alyssa-Jane Cook) -- and also makes first contact with the evil hybrid scientist, Scorpius (Wayne Pygram). The climax finds Crichton subjected to the Aurora Chair, which opens the floodgates of his memory -- a potentially disastrous turn of events for Moya and her crew. This Australian drama is based on the life and times of Mark "Chopper" Read, a notorious Aussie criminal who went on to become a best-selling author, publishing nine books about his exploits outside the law. In 1978, Chopper (played by Eric Bana) is serving a 16-year sentence for abducting a judge who was overseeing the trial of his best friend Jimmy (Simon Lyndon). Jimmy and Chopper end up sharing a cell, along with Keithy George (David Field), a crime boss; when a disagreement between Keithy and Chopper escalates into violence, Chopper kills Keithy, leading to retribution from the gangster's mates, who hire Jimmy to do their dirty work. To escape, Chopper forces a friend to cut off one of his ears so he'll be transferred to another prison. Eight years later, Chopper is out of prison and looking for Jimmy in hopes of getting revenge; in the meantime, he's looking to get even with another of his enemies, Neville (Vince Colosimo), and trying to keep his eye on his girlfriend, Tanya (Kate Beahan), who supports herself as a call girl. While the real "Chopper" Read was not directly involved in the production, comic Eric Bana was cast in the lead at Read's suggestion. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

When he rescues two Ilanic scientists, D'Argo (Anthony Simcoe) causes dissension in the ranks of Moya's crew. Worse still, a female lifeform from the Ilanic shuttle causes Crichton (Ben Browder) to behave in a dangerous and irrational manner. Experiencing horrific flash images of the future, Crichton must endure this hellish mental glitch over and over and over again -- perhaps for all time. Heads are a poppin' everywhere in this Australian private-eye movie that combines elements of horror and science fiction. Dirk Trent is not the classic movie PI. He fat, clumsy, and nerdy. While tracking down a woman's unfaithful husband, his assistant films what at first seems to be the husband murdering his secretary in a cheap motel. Upon closer examination, Trent deduces that the husband didn't kill her because his head exploded first. Soon he discovers a whole series of people whose heads have blown-up.
