Someone is trying to get to West Coast gangster Frank DaVinci in this exploitational actioner. They are doing a good job too. So far, masked murderers have killed his bride and most of his henchmen. One of those gang members killed was the lover of the voluptuous Colette who decides to hide out until things settle down. Three months pass and finally Colette is able to get in touch with Frank in Las Vegas. She tells him that she is a CIA agent and that she and he are being stalked by a renegade agent, her former boss, Jameson. He wants her because he believes that she holds a CD-ROM that contains very incriminating information about his drug-smuggling activities in Vietnam. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide

Gritty male cop Sam Jones is teamed with drop-dead beautiful lady cop Shannon Tweed in Hard Vice. Jones and Tweed operate out of the vice squad in "sin city" Las Vegas. Right now, the dog-and-cat team is trying to solve a series of murders. The victims are all wealthy men who frequent the various houses of prostitution in the area. The heroes of the family adventure comedy 3 Ninjas return in this sequel (though not all of them are played by the same actors). Rocky (Sean Fox), Colt (Max Elliott Slade), and Tum Tum (Evan Bonifant) are three brothers whose Grandfather (Victor Wong) is a ninja master teaching them martial arts skills. The boys' Little League team has a big game coming up, but before they can hit the diamond, they have to help Grandpa return a sacred Ninja dagger to Japan. However, one of Grandpa's longtime enemies, now a wealthy and ruthless businessman, plans to steal the knife, and the boys are sent on a mission to Japan to rescue the valuable weapon. At first the tycoon sends his inept nephew to face off against the young Ninjas, but when that plan fails, Rocky, Colt, and Tum Tum are met by a team of trained warriors, who to their surprise are led by a teenage girl named Miyo (Caroline Junko King). Miyo soon strikes up a friendship with the brothers who are supposed to be her sworn enemies, and with her help they recover the knife and teach her a few things about baseball that come in handy when the big game finally rolls around. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

Tinged with morbid eroticism and drenched in gore, this low-budget vampire thriller stars Michelle Owens as Carris Blass, a sex-crimes detective who offers herself as bait to ensnare a savage sex killer stalking the streets and alleys of Los Angeles -- and discovers too late that the suspect (Gregory A. Geer) is actually a powerful vampire who sexually molests his victims. Once bitten, Blass undergoes a dramatic transformation into femme fatale, along with the usual vampire traits, such as an extreme aversion to sunlight. Despite the doubts of her cynical husband (Michael McMillen), she is determined to bring down her undead foe before her transformation becomes complete. Despite the unconventional twist of depicting the vampire as more of a deranged, rape-happy psychopath than an instinctive predator, there is little to distinguish this blood-soaked outing from the usual horror-exploitation fare. ~ Cavett Binion, All Movie Guide

Mafia hijinks provide the basis of this violent crime drama. The trouble begins the night before an uneasy truce between the warring Malucci family and the Diamonds is to begin. A volatile gang member starts it all when he launches a dirty surprise attack upon the Maluccis, thereby breaching the code of honor. Among the dead is the fiancee of Dino Diamond's chief arm-breaker, aspiring fighter Fist Sullivan. After Sullivan is framed for the killing by a corrupt cop working for double-crossing Dino, he vows revenge. But he is in jail. One of the Maluccis busts him out. Set in a strip club, and stylistically bearing more than a passing resemblance to Flashdance, this drama attempts to show the peelers as people who consider stripping an art form and therefore do all they can to find new and aesthetically pleasing ways to take off their clothes for a leering, drunken group of aficionados.
