Realizing that teenage mom Tina is about to gas herself and her new child, Tina's young boyfriend grabs the infant and takes it to the streets of Lisbon. What he does next comprises the bulk of this extremely downbeat, minimalist drama from Portuguese director Pedro Costa. Once in the street, the boyfriend attempts to sell the child. When that fails, he leaves it at a nurse's house. That doesn't work out either so the youth gives the baby to a streetwalker. Meanwhile Tina and her friend try to get the baby back. When they fail, they decide to get revenge upon the boyfriend. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi

This romantic drama comes from Azerbaijian, a former Soviet state located between the Caspian and Black seas on the border between Europe and Asia. It is set in a city (that may be the country's capital, Baku) during the late '20s and chronicles the love triangle between a young actress, her older, learned husband, and her dashing lover. Her husband frequently lectures upon "The World of Fantasy." Most of the film is set within a silent movie house where the couple watch classics such as The Golem, and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. Turan, the actress, stars in "The Bat," a local film which will be seen at the theater. When talkies come to town, her husband suddenly goes blind. Not long after, Turan has her lover move into their home. The husband has an idea what is going on, but he is not sure. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi

Just as he is breaking it, he discovers that the code was set by Misha who is a technical specialist for a bank. Wanting to protect his friend he stops the decoding program.
