Hip-hop mogul Damon Dash wrote, directed, and stars in this hard-hitting examination of life in the criminal underground of a great city. Three different crime bosses are locked in a battle over the drug trade in Philadelphia. New York transplant Dame (Damon Dash) and his umbrella crew command a powerful network that controls the city's dope traffic, but he has two bitter rivals who both oversee competing gangs from behind bars -- Beans (Beanie Siegel), Philly-born leader of the once-dominant ABM Crime Syndicate, and Loco (Noreaga), a slick street hustler from Miami who has the bankroll to finance a powerful operation. As these three men and their underlings scramble for money and power, another player is quietly consolidating his forces and rising up against them. State Property 2: Philly Streets also features supporting performances from Mariah Carey, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Cam'ron, and a handful of other hip-hop and R&B stars. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

In this satiric allegory about life on the margins of the entertainment industry, Charlie (Charlie Mattera) is a guy who just wants to find steady work honestly honing on his craft, while his agent thinks that he should lower his sights a bit and take some work he might otherwise think was beneath him. However, Charlie isn't an actor, he's a hit man, and while he's good at his job, he has very strict rules about what sort of assignments he'll take -- he'll only kill women, preferably wives who are unfaithful and an economic burden to their husbands. His agent, on the other hand, thinks that if he's willing to murder the occasional husband for money, they'd both be in better shape. Charlie doesn't care for Los Angeles and is looking for new representation, but in the meantime, he's trying to keep a few steps ahead of the law, hoping that his business partners Johnny (Keith Bogart) and Todd (Todd Newman) will keep their mouths shut, and trying to keep his wife Nina (Nina Siemaszko) happy. Director Jordan Alan and leading man Charlie Mattera created the basic storyline and provided "improvisational guidelines" for the cast; from that point on, the dialogue and other material was generated spontaneously by the cast. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

Hunter (Fred Dryer) knows that the murder of a hooker is somehow connected with a huge pharamaceutical theft, but he can't figure out why the woman was killed. In order to get the answers and flush out the villains, McCall (Stepfanie Kramer) goes undercover as a "working girl." This strategy may ultimately prove fatal to both Hunter and McCall, thanks to the deadly persistence of sadistic soldier-of-fortune Johnny Zajak (Vernon Wells). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Ultimately, Wendy turns up murdered--and a vengerful Rick holds Magnum entirely responsible. Entertainer Carol Channing appears as herself in this episode, which also marks the first appearances of Kathleen Lloyd and Elisha Cook Jr. in the respective recurring roles of Deputy DA Carol Baldwin and shady businessman Ice Pick. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
