Beverly Joubert and Derek Joubert, a husband-and-wife team who've won widespread acclaim (and a certain amount of controversy) for their beautiful but unflinchingly realistic wildlife documentaries (including Eternal Enemies and Wildlife Warriors), wrote and directed this feature-length drama that uses footage of animals in the wild to tell a story about elephants in their native environment. After the death of its mother, a baby elephant named Whispers (voice of Debi Derryberry) grabs the tail of Groove (voice of Angela Bassett), a pachyderm exiled from her tribe. Groove is hardly the nurturing type, but the child won't let go, and soon she bonds with the youngster as they make their way through the dangers of the jungle in search of the Great River, a fabled paradise for their kind. Anne Archer, Joanna Lumley, and Alice Ghostley are among the actors who provide the "voices" of the animals; the entire film was shot at the Chobe National Park in Botswana, South Africa, a nature preserve where the Jouberts live and work. Bester's vesit places Talia in the unenviable position of either remaining loyal to her B5 duties or aiding her fellow telepaths. Meanwhile, Sheridan rebels against a proposed "space rent." While watching TV with a group of friends, Jessica (Angela Lansbury) is amused by an amateurish-looking production being presented on a cable-access channel. Before long, however, Jessica realizes that the "production" is the real thing: the TV is hooked up to a surveillance system. Worse still, the on-screen "characters" are planning a big-time robbery, with murder a likely option! A trio in their mid-20s take off into the wilderness in this road film. All of the protagonists are 26-years old and currently living in L.A. All are facing major life changes and therefore, decide to go on a camping trip to sort it all out. Robert, with his reputation for being a smart-alec, has lost both his apartment and his job while Michael, the serious one, was dumped by his girlfriend who favored an older man. Wendy, a social worker, is still reeling from an encounter with a juvenile delinquent.
