A teenager with an affinity for Homer's The Odyssey becomes a young man at a summer camp in this drama, set in Seattle. Danny, as a child loved to play capture the flag and frequently flashes back to those happy times during the film. His memories help him cope with the messed-up adults surrounding him. In addition to dealing with his weak and neurotic parents, Danny must also deal with a bully out to get him. Danny is dismayed to discover that the bully is attending the same summer camp. While at camp, Danny meets a younger camper who shares his interest in "The Odyssey." As the story progresses, Danny discovers his inner strength and is able to overcome all obstacles, including a crush on Jane Fliegelbaum. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
