Dorothy Dell Movies

Beautiful American actress Dorothy Dell (born Dorothy Goff) got her start at age 15 when she won both the Miss America and Miss Universe contests. She then became a vaudeville performer and after that broke into radio. By 1931, she was a featured singer in the Ziegfeld Follies. This led her to appear in a few short films for Vitaphone and then to a contract with Paramount. In 1934, she appeared in three films, including Little Miss Marker, and then before she could become a star, she tragically died in an automobile accident. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
