Magali Clement
A working mother deals with the people involved in her life in this French comedy. Anne is a TV series editor. She is mother to a teenage boy by her ex-husband Daniel, and to twin 8-year old daughters by a mysterious other man. The girls' father, Arthur an irresponsible musician, shows up suddenly and must face the wrath of Anne, especially since he insists on resuming the relationship. Pierre (Christian Vadim) is a womanizing photographer, with a slight mean streak. For whatever reason, Camille (Lio), an artist in her own right, finds him entrancing and easily succumbs to his devious efforts to get her into bed. Soon she is trying to hold him to her with her oh-so submissive love, and he is playing some games with her head by pretending (usually) to have been playing around with others. Eventually, he encounters another woman who is not so sticky and tells her to buzz off. Alain Delon plays Mr. Klein, a French-Catholic art dealer who works as a school principal during the Nazi occupation. Strapped for cash, Klein takes financial advantage of his Jewish neighbors, knowing that they have no legal recourse. Ironically, Klein is himself mistaken for a missing Jew, a man who has been using Mr. Klein's name as a cover for his secret operations.
