Produced for cable's Hallmark channel, The Long Shot stars Julie Benz as expert equestrienne Annie Garrett. Forced by her demanding mother, Bonnie (Laura Johnson), to live under the shadow of her sister, Katie, who won 37 blue ribbons for her horsemanship before her death in a freak accident, Annie is further burdened when her no-good husband, Ross (John Livingston), deserts her. With her seven-year-old daughter, Taylor (Gage Golightly), in tow, the cash-strapped Annie accepts a very difficult job as a groomer and trainer on the Colorado horse farm owned by the no-nonsense Mary Lou O'Brien (Marsha Mason). Despite her heavy workload, Annie thrives in her new environment, forming a strong "friendship" with a horse named Tolo, whom she hopes to ride to victory in a high-stakes contest. Alas, Annie's opportunity to finally live up to the accomplishments of her late sister Katie may be permanently scuttled when Tolo is suddenly struck blind. The Long Shot was first broadcast on April 18, 2004. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

The greatness continues (or something like that) in this sequel to the racy comedy Hollywood Hot Tubs. Crystal Landers (Jewel Shepard) and her mother Pamela (Remy O'Neill) are still running their successful hot tub business, and Pamela sends Crystal to night school so she can get a degree in business. Jason (Patrick Day), one of her classmates, has mastered the art of talking, dressing, and acting like a yuppie, and he volunteers to rid Crystal of some of her Valley Girl affectations so she can move ahead in the business world. Pamela finds her heart is stolen away by Prince Ahmet (Bart Braverman), an Arab who has made a killing in the oil business, while the Prince's chauffeur, Gary (David Tiefen) has his eyes on Crystal. But Gary likes Crystal just enough to warn her that the Prince isn't all he seems to be, and he has plans to take over their hot tub business. Hollywood Hot Tubs 2: Educating Crystal also features the unforgettable closing theme "Educating Crystal Rap," performed by the memorably named hip-hop outfit Whitey Got No Soul. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

1985's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is the only filmed version of the Mark Twain classic to cover every episode in the original novel and not merely such familiar vignettes as the "King and the Duke" business. Presented in four parts, Finn opens in 1844, with young Huck (Patrick Day) being kidnapped from the home of the Widow Douglas (Sada Thompson) by his brutal, drink-sodden Pap (Frederic Forest). Huck escapes by faking his own death and rafting down the river in the company of escaped slave Jim (Samm-Art Williams). Part two offers the seldom-dramatized scene in the novel wherein an abolitionist is lynched; part three recounts the Shepardson/Grangerford feud; and part four culminates with the chicanery of the King (Barnard Hughes) and the Duke (Jim Dale) and the capture of Jim. Featured in the huge cast are Lillian Gish, Geraldine Page, Butterfly McQueen, Richard Kiley, and Eugene Oakes as Tom Sawyer. Originally clocking in at 240 minutes, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was first telecast in February and March of 1986 on PBS' American Playhouse; it is currently available in a 105-minute videocassette version. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
