Eileen Davidson Movies

Soap opera actress Eileen Davidson began her career as a model, eventually finding her way into the acting world by working in commercials. She was cast in the role of Ashley Abbott on the daytime soap Days of Our Lives in 1982 and would stick with the show for seven years. After leaving the show in 1989, she made a series of appearances in movies like Eternity and Easy Wheels and starred in the series Santa Barbara before joining Days of Our Lives in 1993. She would remain with the soap in various roles until 1998, when she returned to Days of Our Lives (which later became The Bold and the Beautiful) to reprise the role of Ashley Abbott. ~ Cammila Collar, Rovi

In this blend of fantasy and romantic comedy, a man isn't sure if he's stuck between past and present or if his imagination is simply working overtime. Edward (Jon Voight) is a prince in Medieval Europe, where his greatest rival is his brother Roni (Armand Assante). Roni wants to declare war on neighboring kingdoms, while Edward believes in keeping the peace, and both are in love with a beautiful gypsy named Dahlin (Eileen Davidson); only the frequent intervention of their father, the King (Wilford Brimley), keeps the two from killing each other. Or at least that's how it seems until Edward wakes up. It seems that his name is really James, he's the host of a talk show in Los Angeles, and he keeps having a recurring dream in which he and his co-workers are characters in a tale of knights in shining armor. Eric, his boss, looks just like the King, and Roni is a dead ringer for Sean, a high-powered businessman who is organizing a hostile takeover of James' company. However, things really start to get interesting for James when he meets Valerie, who is directing a television commercial at James' studio. She bears a striking resemblance to Dahlin the gypsy girl, and James can't help but tell her that she's the girl of his dreams. But are they really dreams, or memories of a past life? Eternity was Jon Voight's first film in three years; he also co-wrote the screenplay with director Steven Paul and Dorothy Koster Paul. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

Advertised as a parody of cheapo-sleazo biker flicks, Easy Wheels looks so much like the real thing that one wonders whether or not we were originally supposed to take the whole megillah seriously. Biker Bruce (Paul Le Mat) and She Wolf (Eileen Davidson) forget their mutual animosity long enough to plan a mass abduction of female babies. The idea is to create a race of super biker chicks, who will enslave mankind and set up a leather-jacketed matriarchy. Bruce isn't completely sold on this idea and bides his time until he gets a chance to undermine She Wolf. Filmed in glamorous Des Moines and Dubuque, Easy Wheels makes all those American-International flicks of the 1960s look like the collected works of Antonioni. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Veteran soap-opera leading ladies Nancy Frangione, Hillary Bailey Smith and Eileen Davidson star in the made-for-TV Sharing Richard. The ladies play three best friends who find that they have one more thing in common: "significant other" Ed Marinaro. Rather than feeling betrayed, Nancy, Hillary and Eileen decide to continue sharing Marinaro's affection on a rotating basis. Only when he learns that his three lovers are also buddies does jealousy enter the picture. Ann Donahue and Marion Zola wrote the film and Peter Bonerz directed. Sharing Richard debuted April 26, 1988. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Sorority sisters are frighteningly plucked off one by one in this low-budget horror film by Mark Rosman. Katherine (Kathryn McNeil) is a serious-minded, thinking woman whose intelligence is about to stand her in good stead when events turn dark and murderous. She and the more evil-minded Vicki (Eileen Davidson), along with five other women, cannot believe it when their housemother forbids them to throw a big party on June 19th. As a response, the sorority women drown her in the swimming pool. One would think another date might have been negotiated. What they do not know is that the 19th marks the birthday of a very unusual offspring, born to the housemother 20 years earlier in an experimental procedure that left much to be desired. Apparently this son does not appreciate the murder of his mother, and mayhem begins from that point onward, and onward, and onward until the final climactic moment arrives at last. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi

Here's a novelty: a "horny teenager" movie from the early 1980s. Goin' All the Way features the usual pair of pimply-faced high school boys trying to score with the opposite sex. Predictably (most everything in this film is predictable), there are plenty of humiliations along the way before Our Heroes achieve success. Filmed in sunny Los Angeles (where else?), Goin' All the Way couldn't have had much of a costume budget, judging by the amount of clothes the female cast members aren't wearing. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
