Moving from the Fox network to the Sci-Fi Channel for its fourth season, Sliders picks up the action some three months after Season Three left off. After innumerable "slides" through various wormholes taking them from one parallel Earth to another, extradimensional travelers Quinn Mallory (Jerry O'Connell) and Maggie Beckett (Kari Wuhrer) have finally arrived at Quinn's homeworld, Earth Prime--only to discover that the planet has been enslaved by the fascistic Kromagg Dynasty which Colin had briefly encountered two seasons earlier. The Kromaggs have captured fellow "sliders" Rembrandt Brown (Cleavant Derricks) and Wade Wells, enslaving Remmy and placing Wade in a breeding camp from which she will never return (actress Sabrina Lloyd) had left the series in 1997). More shocking news comes Quinn's way when, upon being reunited with his mother (Linda Henning), he is told that he was adopted--and that his actual homeworld is Kromagg Prime. Joining an underground resistance movement in hopes of liberating Remmy, Quinn and Maggie simultaneously embark upon an odyssey to find Colin Mallory, the brother Quinn never knew he had...until now. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Shannon Doherty stars in this typical erotic thriller as a disenchanted rich woman who has an affair with her therapist (Judd Nelson). The threat comes in the form of a mysterious killer who handcuffs and blindfolds his victims. Writer-director Lawrence Simeone hints at dark and kinky psychological undercurrents which remain unexplored in favor of the usual slow-motion couplings, making this another forgettable addition to an unnecessarily crowded subgenre. ~ Robert Firsching, Rovi

The man with the granite mug (Ray Sharkey) appears as Stoneface, a crook who has stashed his ill-gotten loot in the trunk of a Rolls-Royce which two unsuspecting guys have "borrowed" from one of their uncles. The fellows, of course, are unaware that there is loot in their car trunk; they're on their way to a modeling contest where one guy's girlfriend is a hot model. The two bozos soon get involved in an all-out chase when Stoneface wants his dough back. ~ Rovi

Intergalactic super-cop Brick Bardo (Tim Thomerson) crash-lands in the Bronx while on a cosmic head hunt, only to find himself just over a foot tall in our world. Bardo spends time bringing street gangs to justice while pursuing his original quarry. ~ John Bush, Rovi
James Belushi and Charles Grodin team up for this variation on the Prince and the Pauper. Belushi plays Jimmy Dworski, a convicted car thief, serving time in a minimum security prison. But when Jimmy wins a pair of tickets to the World Series from a radio call-in show, he can't resist walking out of jail, particularly when the warden won't even let the inmates watch the series on television. Grodin plays rich workaholic Spencer Barnes, who, when his wife walks out on him right before a long-planned vacation, leaves his datebook in an airport telephone booth. Happening upon Spencer's datebook is Jimmy, who simply intends to return the datebook to Spencer for a 1,000-dollar reward. But when he finds the datebook contains his credit cards, Jimmy assumes Spencer's identity, living the good life and dating the boss's daughter, while making his way to Malibu to return the property to Spencer. ~ Paul Brenner, Rovi
