Also known as Remember Love, Remember my Love is the third animated feature culled from the Japanese TV series Urusei Yatsura. Not by any means a "kiddie" show, the series intermixes science fiction with sex in detailing the romantic complications involving teenager Ataru Morobishi. Together with the two loves of his life, Princess Lum (who lives in Ataru's closet) and "human" vis-a-vis Shinobu, Ataru undergoes a variety of fantastic adventures. Props essential to the action include space ships, laser weaponry and non-morphing robots. We've already seen Ataru and his girl friends attend an extraterrestrial reunion in Movie #1 (Only You) and explore the world of the subconscious in Movie #2 (Beautiful Dreamer); in Remember Love, Ataru must face the consequences of his amorous misadventures. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

In this Japanese animated fantasy, the beautiful alien Lum, Princess of the Oni, comes with her minions to take back Earth. The only chance the human's have to retain their planet is if the luckless, girl-loving teen Ataru Moroboshi can beat Lum at her planet's favorite game: sports-tag. Amazingly, Moroboshi does in fact win, thereby saving his planet and winning the princess' hand. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
This classic sci-fi comedy series follows the exploits of Ataru, the most bumbling, lecherous fool ever to walk the halls of his high school. Ataru's family always seems too exhausted to deal with his antics, which may be why they allow Lum, the sweet but troublesome Oni who drops by their house to move in. Oni are creatures of Japanese mythology who have incredible powers and wear tiger skins. In Urusei Yatsura, however, we find our Oni is a beautiful girl who wears a tiger skin bikini. Lum falls in love with Ataru and becomes convinced that he will marry her. Hilarity ensues as Lum's powers always seem to infest the town with dinosaurs or envelope the family house in a mushroom cloud, but, somehow, things are always fine again by the next episode. Another point of note is Lum's enduring devotion to Ataru, despite his unfaithful nature. She may always forgive him, but the effects of her otherworldly powers always reap revenge on him anyway. ~ Cammila Albertson, All Movie Guide
