Perhaps the name of this picture is a misnomer, because the tools of mediation that Lish Henley (George Walsh) uses are his gun and his fists. Henley does his mediating during the California gold rush days. When he finds out that the latest recipient of his mediating skills has a wife and daughter in a rough, tough town which is inappropriately named Peaceful Hill, he heads over to clean the place up. That he does, along with romancing and winning the daughter Maggie (Juanita Hansen). This film was pretty much merely an excuse to show off George Walsh's physical talents. Walsh was never truly a rival for Douglas Fairbanks' crown, but for a while there, his producers certainly made a play for it. ~ Janiss Garza, All Movie Guide
