An emotionally distraught cop is traumatized by memories of an abusive childhood in which he was forced to kill the uncle who was abusing him. Fired by his corrupt boss, he is recruited to infiltrate a ring of murderous, gun-running bikers, who would kill him in a second if they found out who he was -- which his friends begin to suspect was why he took the job in the first place. ~ Brian Gusse, Rovi

This drama concerns a romance that crosses the lines of North and South during the American Civil War. Colombine (Jamie Rose) is a Yankee war widow who one day welcomes an ailing traveling salesman into her home. As the two interact, she falls in love and eventually the "salesman" reveals he is actually a Confederate soldier. Neither does anything about it for the time being, but both the Confederate soldier and a friend of Colombine's try to bolster her sense of self-worth and purpose. None too soon, because the soldier soon feels the call to arms again. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi

Eating Raoul was celebrated at the time of its release as the perfect marriage between mainstream moviemaking and the so-called "underground" cinema. Cult-film icons Mary Woronov and Paul Bartel (both of whom directed) play a married couple who decide to cash in on the sexual perversions of others. Posing as a hooker, Woronov lures the "johns" in and indulges their every kinky whim, whereupon Bartel kills the unwary client, steals the valuables, and sells the corpse for dog food. Though they see nothing wrong in what they're doing, they react in prudish disgust at the sexual preferences of their victims. Eventually, Raoul (Robert Beltran), the fellow who transports the corpses to the dog food concern, proves expendable--and extremely edible. Eating Raoul features a high-powered comic supporting cast, among them Buck Henry, Ed Begley Jr., Richard Paul, Hamilton Camp, and Edie McClurg. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

In this near-surrealist episode, everyone at the 4077th is suffering from the fatigue of a medical crisis. Unable to go to sleep for any great length of time, the staff begins taking little cat-naps. The result is a series of dreams and nightmares that are as bizarre as anything out of a Luis Bunuel or Ingmar Bergman movie. Strangest moment: The imaginary honeymoon of Margaret Houlihan (Loretta Swit). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
