This run-of-the-mill "romantic story" may not seem as romantic to non-Bulgarian audiences because its hero and heroine are seriously flawed. Ivan (Ivan Ivanov) has never doubted that women are inferior and has no problem telling his girlfriend Zhana (Irene Krivoshieva) what she should or should not do. In spite of their declared feelings for each other, he is in no hurry to marry. Then the tables are turned when he proposes and she decides that other men are suddenly more interesting than ever before -- and she says "no."
