Each segment is introduced by a one word title card that is spoken by the players. Included are short conversations, monologues, mini-plays, two fantasy segments, and a one-sided telephone conversation. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide

Since this feature by a first-time director was made by the former head of one of Mexico's major film studios, it received a wide release. However, walkouts by disapproving viewers were reportedly commonplace. In the story, three adolescent young men decide that it would be just great if they could convince a famous stripper that they were the men for her. The method they hit upon is to kidnap the glamorous, sexy lady. She believes that they intend to take her life if she doesn't behave as they wish and winds up bedding all of them. When she learns why they kidnapped her, she is indulgent with them, and they go to bed some more. However, when the police arrive on the scene in tandem with a man who has reason to wish her ill, the situation grows much less pleasant for all concerned. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide

This eccentric retelling of a classic short novel by Henry James was so shabbily produced that one trade reviewer (for Variety) rather insultingly suggested that it was made solely as a means for receiving federal grant money set aside especially for the production of Catalan-language films. At least two earlier films with the same story have been made, the (1981) Aspern by Eduardo de Grigorio, and in 1973, The Aspern Affair by Burt Brinkerhoff. In the story, a famous writer has died, leaving behind a completed but unpublished manuscript, and several individuals have plans for the papers' final disposition. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide

In this rambling, slow-paced and basically mild horror story, an artist gets in his car and winds up in a small Catalan town. There, he is bedded by a bevy of women who are handmaidens for the devil, and meanwhile he tries to make some sense out of this by consulting with occultists. One side effect of all this diabolical sex is that he also suffers from hallucinations, which don't help him very much in his efforts to come back to reality. This odd drama is based on a novel by (Manuel Pedrolo. Reviewers reported finding a great deal of inadvertent humor in the film's extremely pretentious dialog. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide
