A cop discovers that there's something unusual about his new partner in this unusual sci-fi thriller. A seemingly well-mannered stock broker one day snaps, robbing a bank, stealing a Ferrari, and driving straight into a police barricade without any thought for his own safety, and he's mowed down by a hail of bullets. The detective assigned to the case, Tom Beck (Michael Nouri), thinks that he notices a strange look in the eye of the thief, but when FBI agent Lloyd Gallagher (Kyle MacLachlan) informs Tom that he's also been assigned to the case, he thinks that he sees the same curious look in Lloyd's eyes as well. Lloyd also has an odd way of carrying himself, as if he's not entirely in control of his own body, and in time, Tom discovers what the two men have in common -- both are actually aliens from another planet. They are creatures from another world capable of entering a human (or animal) body at will and using it as a vessel as long as they need. When the stockbroker died, the rogue alien simply crept into another body to begin his crime spree all over again. Lloyd has been sent to Earth to bring the thief's reign of terror to a halt and has taken over the body of an FBI agent with that in mind. Lensed on location in the Lone Star state, this sweeping made-for-TV film originally occupied three hours' screen time on November 22, 1986. After witnessing a murder committed by a hireling of drug kingpin Bogota (Marco Rodriguez), mercenary street hustler Sporty James (Garret Morris) hopes to turn the situation to his advantage. Intending to blackmail Bogota and retire in luxury on his ill-gotten gains, Sporty sends his girlfriend Marguerite (Tyra Ferrell) to deliver the extortion note to the drug lord. Don Ameche, a retired art thief reduced to working as a chauffeur, teams with his old friend Hope to solve the mystery of a missing painting. The unknown criminal has a murderous streak, resulting in a few close calls for the octogenarian heroes. Masterpiece of Murder is murder, all right, but definitely no masterpiece. The TV detective series Blacke's Magic starred Hal Linden as dapper professional magician Alexander Blacke, and Harry Morgan as Alexander's con-man father Leonard. Together, Blacke and Blacke solved mysteries with the help of Alexander's prestidigatory skills and Leonard's flim-flammery. In the series' two hour pilot, the Blackes attend a magician's convention, where an old friend of Alexander's is murdered. All the magic tricks performed on the episode were real, requiring Hal Linden to acquire a few conjuring skills post-haste. Sisters Cathy and Maryann Rogers (Claudia Christian, Suzanne Barnes) are the owners of a bottling plant which turns out an all-natural beverage called Hi-Bright soda. Evil beer magnate Jason Webb (Louis Giambalvo) uses strongarm tactics to pressure the sisters into converting their plant into a brewery, part of a larger scheme involving crooked banker-realtor Barrington (Jack Hogan). Figuring that the world doesn't need any more alcoholics, the A-Team comes to the rescue of the sisters, posing as the representatives of a phony ad agency in order to expose the villains' machinations. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Poor Miss March went out like a lion and now cops are trying to keep disaster from raining down on Miss April.
