The title Love Massacre aptly describes the two components of most Hong Kong action flicks, this time putting them in an adverbial relationship. A beautiful young woman (Lin Ching-hsia) begins to feel pending doom as she is certain she is being stalked by a psycho killer on the loose. Her boyfriend (Charlie Chin), is not a very good listener. She whines, he shrugs, and the killer approaches as the time for the switch from "love" to "massacre" draws near. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi

Brigitte Lin Ching-hsia stars in this offbeat comedy-action flick as Jackal, the leader of a band of female thieves. The film opens with Jackal and her cohorts Cat (Elsa Yeung Wai-san) and Dynamite Susie (Sally Yeh Chian-wen) surrounded by ninjas and facing certain death. Jackal and company agree that she will take the loot and everyone who survives will return in a year's time. Of course, Jackal bolts with the money, along with her male associate The Pink Commander, to the countryside where they start an amusement park. Eventually, Cat tracks her down with plans for revenge. Later, however, they reunite to steal a magical artifact called "the Oriental Star," but only after Cat cuts off Jackal's arm for punishment. After more treachery, Jackal is left for dead. Yet she is saved by a mysterious cowboy named "The Heartbroken Man" who nurses her back to health and who attaches a machine gun to her stump. ~ Jonathan Crow, Rovi
