In this routine, provincial Italian comedy, sex and jealousy take center stage. Lorenzo (Renato Pozzetto) is the cubby mayor of a small town who is both blessed and plagued by a sexy wife (Gloria Guida). Although his wife is faithful, he is not sure of that and invents ways to prevent any man from misbehaving with her. Meanwhile, Arrigo is the town's notorious playboy, and everyone gets suspicious when he starts paying frequent visits to the mayor's house. In one satirical episode, The Bomb, a bogus bomb threat at a police headquarters gradually balloons into a real terrorist plot culminating with the bombing of the police commissioner. Another comical spaghetti western from director Bruno Corbucci, this film concerns the bumbling exploits of two Southern soldiers (Raimondo Vianello, Lando Buzzanca) who are still fighting the Civil War eight years after its conclusion. They plan various sabotages and guerrilla activities which all go amusingly afoul, spurred on by two scheming women (Monica Randal, Maria Martinez). Marcello Mastroianni stars in this film which combines much of the 1965 release Paranoia with new footage. A police inspector is told of the bizarre behavior of a pistol-packing papa who shoots blanks at his wife to keep her intimidated. He inserts a real bullet every so often just to let her know she should pay attention. Another story has Mastroianni as a man who tries to sell his blonde wife to a wealthy sheik with a large harem. His wife has her own ideas and sells her husband instead as an addition to a male harem. Cult icon Lucio Fulci directed this anthology set in a courtroom, where four cases of fraud and confidence are presented. Raimondo Vianello and pretty Dominique Boschero star in the first, a tale of a wealthy businessman accused of fraud. Franco Franchi and Ciccio Ingrassia, who starred in ten of their "Franco and Ciccio" comedies for Fulci, play conmen who convince people that they've discovered archaeological treasures and Antonella Lualdi highlights a tale of crooked nuns. Finally, a doctor (Walter Chiari) is implicated in meedical misdeeds. Margaret Lee, Umberto d'Orsi, and horror director Camillo Mastrocinque also appear. ~ Robert Firsching, All Movie Guide

A light frolic at the beach with sun and sex both foremost on the scene, this standard comedy by director Giulio Petroni is that much better for the comic work of Ugo Tognazzi and Raimondo Vianello as Benito and Adolfo, two undertakers who enjoy a bit of fun at the beach before they have to go in and punch the clock. In this Italian comedy, three unemployed actors are rehearsing for a crime scene in their boarding house unaware that they are being watched by a nosy neighbor who is convinced that they are professional assassins. He offers them money to kill his philandering wife, and the hungry thespians agree to do the deed. Of course, they don't plan on killing anyone. Meanwhile, the wife and her boy friend are cooking up their own plot. Real trouble ensues when all the different conspiracies get mixed up. As result, the husband has a fatal coronary, and to protect themselves, the woman and her lover lure into a sausage factory where they plan to throw the three into a meat grinder. Fortunately, the police arrive at the last minute and arrest the woman and her lover for the murder (even though they didn't really kill him) of her husband.
