The second of five made-for-TV movies starring Kevin Sorbo as legendary muscleman Hercules, this one pits the title character against his most fearsome enemy--his own immortal stepmother, Hera. Using a number of disguises, the villainess does her best (or worst) to thwart Hercules in his search for the lost city of Troy. Before long, it is apparent that our hero is surrounded by nothing but enemies, save for the beautiful and mysterious Deineira (played by future Xena: Warrior Princess regular Renee O'Connor)--but can even she be trusted? Anthony Quinn is seen as Hercule's Olympian father Zeus. Hercules and the Lost Kingdom was syndicated in the US beginning in early May of 1994. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

In this docudrama, the menace posed by Australian efforts to ward off terrorist attacks is shown to be at least as great as that posed by the attacks themselves. The story is told by a female German sociologist exploring the expanding power of the state, and her didactic commentary is interspersed with scenes of a hostage situation. Throughout, heavy-handed police responses to the situations they encounter, whether terrorist or not, make everyone look bad. In fact, the police soon deport the German academic as an undesirable. The filmmakers contentions seems to be that Australia is very virtually a police state already. However, the very fact of the film's being made and widely released within the country would seem to contradict that assertion, despite many well-documented abuses by the authorities. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide

Christmas Visitor is an American/Australian coproduction geared for exposure on the Disney Channel pay-cable service. The scene is the Australian outback in the 1890s, where a drought threatens to wipe out a farming community. Holding out for a miracle, the farmers face a bleak Yuletide, until an ethereal stranger pays a visit. Christmas Visitor was directed by the "other" George Miller -- that is, the George Miller responsible for Man From Snowy River rather than Mad Max. In Australia, the film was telecast under the title Bushfire Moon. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
