Beverly Hills 90210 star Tori Spelling and Star Trek: Voyager actress Jeri Lynn Ryan headline this made-for-TV movie about a hardworking college student who thinks she's found the answer to her financial and self-esteem issues when she falls into the lifestyle of a high-priced escort. Lonely, plain-Jane, cash-strapped Joanna Halbert (Spelling) attends university classes while also helping out at the bakery run by her no-nonsense, widowed mother, Teri (Susan Blakely). When her classmates jokingly leave Joanna's name and number on the voicemail of a Malibu escort service, Joanna finds her curiosity piqued. After finding a new best gal pal in the form of the vivacious escort Kimberly (Ryan), Joanna soon finds herself working for Kimberly's boss, Ron Tamblin (Scott Plank), who promises her that she doesn't have to sleep with the clients she "dates." Soon, Joanna is dressing like a grown-up, stepping out with fabulous men -- and getting paid hundreds of dollars a night for her trouble. This secret double life soon, however, takes a toll on Joanna's relationships with her mother, her friends and her would-be beau, Jack (Barry Watson). Although Joanna chooses to sleep with one of her clients, she refuses to sleep with another. But when Ron threatens to fire her, she acquiesces, and soon Joanna finds herself going on more dates where the sex is not only compulsory, but kinky. When she tries to quit, violence ensues, ultimately leading Joanna to criminal court, where she must defend herself against a charge of attempted murder. After first airing on CBS in 1996, Co-Ed Call Girl enjoyed a second life on cable, including the Lifetime network. ~ Brian J. Dillard, Rovi

The third and last film in a trilogy of features produced jointly by the Playboy publishing and cable television empire and Paramount Pictures, this erotic thriller was directed by Oley Sassone, whose previous film, The Fantastic Four (1994) was permanently shelved. Charles Grant stars as David Burgess, a corporate executive experiencing marital troubles with his wife Sara (Tawny Kitaen). Seeing her colleague's problem as her ticket to a brighter future, David's coworker Karen Stone (Shannon Whirry) engineers a sexual encounter between Sara and company CEO Gil Braman (George Hamilton) that is photographed by a private eye (Harry Dean Stanton). Predictably, David sees the photos and has a career-destroying clash with Gil, putting Karen in line for promotion. Realizing what has happened, David and Sara reconcile and set about destroying Karen and Gil while saving the company from a destructive pending merger. ~ Karl Williams, Rovi

Not bad as far as slasher movies go, Brothers in Arms is set-inevitably-in a remote backwoods community. The title refers to a pair of siblings who don't get along (that's putting it mildly). When the brothers inadvertently venture into looney-land, they are besieged by a religious cult which dotes on ritual murders. Forced to work together, our heroes struggle manfully to avoid being chopped, lopped, sliced and diced. Dedee Pfeiffer, Michelle's sister, shows up in a role that might surprise her Cybill fans. Brothers in Arms is more than a little inspired by Deliverance, with elements of The Most Dangerous Game tossed in for good measure. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

The ample but well-covered attractions of (Anat Topol-Barzilai) are frequently on display in this supernatural thriller that borrows heavily from Rosemary's Baby and a number of lesser horror films. She plays a new mother who moves into her in-law's bizarre, ancient mansion. It gradually becomes clear to Grace that her husband John (Gary Sloan) and mother-in-law Elizabeth (Mary Shelly) are reincarnated witches, who plan to use her newborn in their Satanic rituals. Her increasingly powerful psychic gifts give her visions which enable her to see that the two of them were burned at the stake for their misdeeds in previous lives. In one notable scene, the pair attempt to serve her up as a human sacrifice. ~ Clarke Fountain, Rovi

This is an uneven modern remake of A Yank at Oxford (1938) from writer-director Robert Boris, the man behind such diverse earlier productions as Some Kind of Hero (1981) and Doctor Detroit (1983). Rob Lowe stars as Nick Di Angelo, an American hustler and parking attendant in Las Vegas who falls in love at first sight with a beautiful, classy British woman, Lady Victoria (Amanda Pays). He follows her back to England and learns that she is a student at the prestigious Oxford University. Intent on wooing the object of his affection despite their obviously different locations in the social strata, Nick manages to finagle his way into an admission at the school by paying a computer hacker for some illegal tampering. With his arrogant manner and self-centered worldview, Nick quickly offends nearly everyone he encounters, except fellow American expatriate Rona (Ally Sheedy), who becomes his only friend. Nick also secures a spot on the rowing team, an experience that builds his character. A typical example of the mid-'80s "Rat Pack" film, Oxford Blues featured a soundtrack with several forgettable rock songs written expressly for the movie, interjected at intervals into the narrative through music video-style sequences. ~ Karl Williams, Rovi
